Gotta be something like that.
He's so good at hiding that he has to have pictures of every high ranking Joe.

He's so good at hiding, the Army forgot he was still in service and overlooked his promotion.

All this talk made me think of how old the other "senior" Joes are.
- Wild Bill (a W-3) would probably have anywhere between 10 to 16 years time in service at minimum (5 to 8 years of enlisted service + 5 to 8 years of service as a warrant officer). - Flint would probably have almost just as much accumulated time-in-servce as Wild Bill, despite being a full rank lower. Off the top of my head, I think an enlisted SF operator would need, on average, about 10 to 12 years enlisted TIS (with at least 3 years in a Special Forces "A" Team) to get into the SF Warrant Officer ranks. Throw in the time needed for promotion from W-1 to W-2 and you're looking at something like 14 years. - There's no way that Repeater could have 20 years of service and still be an E-6 (which is what it says on his original filecard). The Army has a strict "up or out" policy for enlisted soldiers, so if a soldier gets passed over for promotion twice he or she must retire. Damn Zulu thanks for the TIS breakdown. for warrant officers. Your right Torpedo works better as a LDO Lt. Shave off a dozen years. But still he would have so much experience at 34 maybe 32 years old, just to work up to E-6 and then go to Officer training. Wild Bill is a CW-4 so he's even older. Flint is a CW-3 on his Tiger Force Filecards. but otherwise WO-2. |

So how do you guys prefer to use Flint anyway? I figure you could simply use him as a squad leader (E6) if going by his first file card. Or you might use him in a Special Forces role: an A-Team's Assistant Detachment Commander or even a B-Team's Company Technician (WO3). Or do you simply use him as a helicopter pilot (WO3), perhaps even a SOAR pilot for special ops?
I actually prefer the latter. He's flies the Joes into tight, hard-to-maneuver LZs in a Little Bird or into larger combat areas in a Black Hawk or Tomahawk. Yet he has previous infantry experience so he can fight if his Bird gets disabled on the ground. Most helicopter pilots like to carry a shotgun as an egress weapon and for personal defense so this weapon fits him perfectly. |

My Flint is a Colonel. He just seems like one of the Joes main Commanders. I have way too many Colonels I know. Like 10.

Because of his Special Forces background and Ranger background, Flint is XO of my Delta Teams with Claymore being the head honcho. Flint is also squad leader of an airborne insertion Delta Team.
Being able to fly a helicopter is an added bonus, as sometimes they need to find their own transportation out of the hot zone.

Hey is it possible to get public access to the FM 3-90.6 Brigade Combat Team? I can't seem to access this online. I thought all the FMs were accessible through the Freedom of Information Act.
