Yeah, find spots for Barrell Roll and Bombshell would be hard. Bombshell is supposed to be a Forward Observer, but that's not a post that would have females on the frontlines. So what to do with her?
I love Barrell Roll. I really don't know why. None of his figures are anything special, but out of all the DDP used characters, he stood out the most and was the coolest. Same with Mayday. So how would Barrell Roll be used?

Zulu, are you going to use Bullhorn, Freefall, Rampart, Footloose and Claymore?
Have you done Low-Light yet?

I'm not zulu (no duh, lol), but I can answer some of those questions:
Bullhorn: Area Security and Force Protection Platoon - Special Response Unit, Cover Team (Marksman) Freefall: Direct Action Element - Green Platoon (Covering Force), Rifle Squad Bravo, Fireteam Three (Grenadier) Rampart: Direct Action Element - Green Platoon (Covering Force), Rifle Squad Alpha, Fireteam One (Automatic Rifleman) Footloose: Direct Action Element - Red Platoon (Assualt), Rifle Squad Charlie, Fireteam Six (Rifleman) Claymore: Direct Action Element Headquarters (Element Leader) It's all here: Send big files the easy way. Files too large for email attachments? No problem! Last edited by Master Thespian; 06-01-2009 at 11:10 PM.. |

Some great suggestions all, Can't talk to them specifically for now, as I'm in the process of "stepping back" and re-evaluating the characters I've already done and seeing if they square up with my newfound and re-focused drive to balance faithfulness to the source material whilst attempting to modernize and improve on them.
Neat list Loose Cannon, thanks for compiling those. Some god-awful code names though. Agent Faces? More like Agent Feces (groan!). Double Blast? Was "Single Blast" taken? |

The more thought I gave it, the more I began to feel like if anyone was included from the modern era (HUGE if), they should only be visual standout characters that weren't meant to originally be someone else (Hacker-Mainframe, Nunchuck-Quick Kick, Dart-Spirit, etc).

I really don't think any other characters are really worth cherry picking anywhere else in the line. |

New Stuff:
Big Lob & (Major) Storm A No-Prize to the first person who gets the real name reference I worked into Big Lob's filecard. Also reconsidered my decision to make Muskrat into a Marine. There are other, less prominent Joes, I think, that can better undergo the process of being re-imagined as Marines without losing a core element of their design or risk offending (however mildly) a fan of said character: It goes without saying that his filecard has been re-written to reflect the change (or is it "un-change"?). Also re-wrote portions of Rock 'n' Roll's filecard. To view the filecards in full, click on the link in my signature. |

Omar Sanders is a College Basketball prospect? I just googled it I have no idea who he is. But the he looks great as an action figure without the big stupid hair that obviously wouldn't be allowed. Storm is a Green Beret is awesome.
As far as the list I provided I figured this list is for everyone to see. I was going to cherry-pick the ones I thought were good but then I decided why not include everyone, and let you decide. I'm familiar with all of them. This is just about everyone post-ARAH 92 and beyond. No NINJAS. and although I like Kamakura since he is a Green Beret as well, he would need a serious makeover to fit in. Some codenames are bad Doubleblast is an even worse figure So that is all 25 joes that fall out of the scope. Well except Gen Flagg who I forgot. I hear you that the Joes need bulletstoppers so I don't see them all getting worked in. But I also see some of the Joes as bulletstoppers. When I was a kid Breaker Died almost immediately. He was so wiggly I hated playing with him, and Firefly has to kill someone. But after I was done, back in the box and we hit the reset button. |

Going back a bit in this thread, Ripcord gets a medal from the fight during the creation of Cobra Island in 40 and 41, not his extra-curricular activities a few issues later. It seems like a long period of time elapsed, but it was really only 5 issues or so. And Scarlett is shot by the Baroness in issue 94, at the beginning of the "Snake Eyes Trilogy."
