Isn't there another Biathlon Olympic athlete? I'm trying to recall, but I'll probably have to look it up. It seems like there was another one of the "Snow Joes" who was also a biathlete.

Sky Dive is a great Joe: old school Airborne Ranger First Sgt. I always imagined that he and Beach-Head would get up to run PT together in the morning before light. Give each other a hard time, talk about people they new in the Regiment... maybe Rampage (v2) and Stalker would go run with them. Regardless of the weird ranking within Sky Patrol, he's the NCO I would want in charge of that unit. Drop Zone is one of the most overlooked characters on the entire Joe roster. He's a legitimate Green Beret. One of very few on the Joe Team. When I think of the guys who we KNOW (specifically mentioned in the file cards) are Special Forces I can only come up with 5 or 6. I'm actually making a custom Drop Zone... I'll let y'all know how it turns out. Sky Patrol is just one of those minor problems of the Joes... it's such a great concept with so much potential and GREAT characters... the Uniforms were just pretty bad. I still use them... just like I still use Tiger Force. I try to see past the costumes.

Snow Job as a Sniper is a Great choice. His credentials as a Biathlon competitor would certainly make him a formidable marksman.

Snow Job is used as my arctic sniper. I use Iceberg as my arctic heavy weapons, he came with a machine gun so just seemed natural to move him to that role.
I wish I could get into Sky Patrol. Reading the filecards, they are some kick-ass characters and it was cool that Hasbro made all these knew characters for the sub-team instead of just repaints like they had a habit of doing. But those outfits.... I wish they had more of a paratrooper feel, like Freefall or Crazylegs, then the outfits they have on. I'd probably have more reaction and interest in 'em. Also the all-chrome vehicles. Can't stand chrome on the action figures. I hate the chrome plated Viper. But surprisingly I wanted the Canadian Joecon H.A.T.E. tank (chrome HISS). Weird...

Zulu, haven't had a chance to look at the new chart yet, but I like the retasking of Flash. Sci-Fi should follow the same lines, same with Redspot (or is Redspot outside your range?).
Glad you're going to '91 so you can include Big Ben (one of my top 5). Now Ozone... I don't like the beard. Rest is great. He actually looks like someone I'd be interested in buying.

Rosario Dawson plays an agent for the Airforce OSI Air Force Office of Special Investigations - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Is this like the Army CID?

As for the Air Force Office of Special Investigations, their responsibilities mirror some of Army CID's, but they also have a significant counterintelligence and human-source intelligence collection role, primarily because the Air Force intelligence career field mainly concentrates on SIGINT, MASINT, ELINT, IMINT, and geospatial intelligence. So you could say that OSI is a mix of Army CID and Counterintelligence/HUMINT Collection. |

Oooh, Rosario Dawson. She's one of those women who I can't make up my mind if she's pretty or not. Some films she's hot, and others, she looks like she could be anyone of the junkies I pass by on Main street. Heck, it even happens within the same movie sometimes.

Sometimes she's hot, sometimes she's not.

Sky Patrol was my Holy Grail for over 10 years. Saw them in the store one day but didn't pick them up. (You know 16yr old aren't suppose to buy toys at least that's what my uncle was thinking.)
Never saw them again, but I was so excited because they were all new characters and their ranks left the rest of the Joes in the dust! |
