WOW. Great photo, Zulu. Really nice work. Talk about photo evidence. I didn't even know that about the Scouts back then. I think you're right. I think that's probably exactly what Spirit is supposed to be wearing.

They should have put Jinx in Night Force, especially after they made it painfully clear in the 1987 animated film that she was a better fighter non-sighted than sighted.

You know, I've just been rereading these Spirit file cards, and I think I've not given Spirit the credit he deserves. If he was a LRRP/Ranger, and a Sniper, and he's good with knives and edged weapons... He's probably a lot cooler than I've given him credit for in the past. I once said "Dart is everything that Spirit was supposed to be". Maybe I had it wrong. Maybe Spirit is who Dart wants to be when he grows up.

Low-Light/Spirit Barrell Roll/Grand Slam Lone Wolf/Air Raid (custom Force Recon/Scout Sniper and custom Marine FAC) But if I do the last one, it'll leave my Marines pretty short-handed, only Gung-Ho and Leatherneck. But I could make the 2 of them into another 2-man unit. The idea of the 2-man units would be to send them in ahead of the main force to provide overwatch and communications with the main assault.

I sort of like Spirit in concept, but I never really liked how he was portrayed in the toys and cartoons (Yo Stereotype!) and he was pretty much a cipher for most of the Marvel Comics run (until the unresolved Millville storyline, and even then he was pretty bland). His Sigma 6 version is actually one of the Sigma 6 designs that I actually liked, cause it made him at least a bit more interesting visually, and not just a haphazard, "let's throw on a breechcloth and call it a day" afterthought (although with those super-baggy hip hop pants, they could have called him "MC Iron-Knife" or "DJ Injun").

That's a very fair point... she could have been the Intel specialist Night Force needed. I mean, Tiger Force has Big Brawler, and the Desert Patrol Squad has Scarlett. Night Force needed an Intel Specialist, and Jinx would have been great.

In the cartoon, all that native american mystic stuff got in the way, but he was pretty bad-ass there too. He went toe to toe with Storm Shadow a couple of times. In the comics, Dart was a wuss. He got post-tramautic stress disorder on the one mission he was on as a Joe "rookie". The mission where it was Cobra vs. IGs and Duke was working a deal behind the backs of everyone and Ripcord got all pissed off at Duke and Flint punched Duke out because of what happened on the mission and how the Joes got caught in a crossfire and were distractions so Duke could work his backdoor deal with the Sierra Gordan leadership.

Based on this and the idea you had for Grand Slam and Barrell Roll, I'm seriously thinking of redoing my Delta Teams a bit and doing a couple of 2-man units.

I suppose that leaves Cross-Hair, and Hollow Point. Any other snipers I'm missing? I don't mean like Scarlett or some other sniper qualified Joe. I mean any Joes whose main job is as a sniper. Any by the way, I'm hoping that Spirit can talk some sense into Low-Light and you won't send him to kill me anymore.

Dart and Low-Light were injured on that mission. Yeah, Spirit was pretty awesome in the Marvel Run, and he was pretty cool in DDP.

I guess Bull Horn was sort of a sniper... he came with that awesome briefcase with the sniper rifle parts in it. I stand on the side of the debate that makes him a Marine... namely because it's an unresolved issue and we need more Marines in the Joes. I always figured he was trained as a Marine Sniper. I suppose he'd be more effective in an urban/HRT setting.

I liked the Sigma Six Spirit design, it wasn't bad. There's some nice designs in S6. Sgt. Boulder, Desert Wolf, Heavy Duty, Sgt. Stone, Flint. Firefly's is pretty cool as well.
I don't own Crosshair or Hollow Point (although, when I get my hands on a comic pack Rock 'n Roll, that'll soon become my Hollow Point, thanks to Loose for that idea). But yeah, that's it for "tasked" Snipers.
