- Stalker - Gung-Ho - Leatherneck - Beach Head - Recondo - Muskrat - Pathfinder I'd probably change the name though. Calling something Tiger Force would just be a public relations nightmare given that rogue members (stress on them being "rogue") of the original Tiger Force were the subjects of a war crimes investigation conducted by Army CID back in the 1970s. I'd personally go with "Jaguars" to keep the big predatory cat motif. Last edited by zuludelta; 05-29-2009 at 06:31 PM.. |

Tiger Force: Duke, Roadblock, Doc, Recondo, Pathfinder, Outback Night Force: Falcon, Shockwave, Repeater, Lightfoot, Low-Light, Lady Jaye Freefall, Crazylegs, Ripcord, Lifeline, Drop Zone, Static Line I'd change the name first but.. Gung-Ho, Leatherneck, Hardball, Hollow Point, Spearhead, Ambush I know they're not all Marines, but I think the mythos could be okay if they were made into Marines. Battle Rangers: Flint, Hit & Run, Muskrat, Footloose, Big Ben, Airborne

Good line up, Zulu.
For a New Night Force, I would go with... Claymore Falcon Flint Low-Light Breaker Shockwave Barricade Mayday Sure Fire Bull Horn Bullet Proof Rapid Fire ... that's probably way to many officers on one team.

You know, it's weird to me how all the native American Joes are in th Army. Isn't Spirit a Navaho Indian? Or is that wrong? But if so, weren't those the Windtalkers who helped the Marines so much in the Pacific?
Also, why did Spirit wear that shirt? That was like a Navy Shirt, wasn't it? Think back to v1 Spirit... isn't that a sailor's shirt? And then they put him in Slaughter's Marauders... Slaughter was a Marine, and that sub-team had a "Marine" feel to it. Though, certainly footloose and Low-Light were Army. I guess what I'm asking is: is there any REAL evidence that puts Spirit in the Army? The lack of a Ranger tab is fishy. He's wearing a Navy Shirt, and the next time we get a "Tracker" for the team, his name is "Tracker" and he's in the Navy. Could Spirit be a SEAL? Crazy right? Just think about it. Why would a soldier wear a sailor's shirt with sailor's rank?

It was the navajo language used as a code that the Japanese couldn't decipher. You got some good reasoning for Spirit to possibly be a SEaL.

Here's a picture of modern reproductions of the dark blue uniforms the Army issued to the segregated "Seminole/Negro" scout companies in the late 19th century:
I tend to think that a faded version of that is what Spirit is wearing. |

His "mos" is Tracker. You could very well be right.

But Spirit is one of those guys who was in the service, then got out to go to school, and then got back in... could it be possible that he was previously in the Navy SEALs before he got out to go to school. He's a qualified Sniper, but no mention of Ranger School. I mean, seriously, where did he get that shirt?

I know I've seen that syle of shirt somewhere else (almost the same exact colours as Spirit's), some "Native-Americans in the Military" exhibit or other, I think it might have been worn by Blackfoot scouts employed by the Army as scouts and trackers in the mid-19th century.

Ok, I read his Slaughter's Marauders file card... he's Army all the way, but I did find something interesting. In said that in Southeast Asia (Vietnam), he served as a "commander of scout patrols". That sounds like a LRRP to me. And if he was a LRRP NCO, then he HAS to be a Ranger.
And based on what the rest of the card says about his ability to navigate in the dark, he should have been chosen for Night Force... UK Spirit and v2 Low-Light are the perfect Sniper/Spotter Team for Night Force. Why didn't I see this before?
