Much much better. Now that's a good Duke. No longer the all-american arayan poster boy. He's now the bad-ass CSM of the Joe team.

Does he really look that old? It takes a soldier about 22 years to make Sergeant Major (which is the rank I have Duke at) so I think he looks about average or even young-ish for a guy in his early 40s. Is it the gray streak in the hair throwing the look off? I was second-guessing myself about adding it.
This new Duke uniform is great, but Troynos is right about the face; he looks really old. Duke could be 35 - 37 years old without raising an eyebrow. And still no Ranger School in his file card? Sir, how could you? ;)

Much, much better. He looks good... really, really tough. Tough enough that you know a guy who looks like that has a Ranger Tab. Tough enough that you know you never call him "sir".

Dammit, I always forgot to add that thing. I should just make a macro function for that in Photoshop

Anybody read the new G.I. Joe: Cobra issue 3?
This is not the Chuckles of our youth, my friends.

Sorry; he's not a Marine. You NEVER call an ARMY NCO "Sir". To address a Sergeant Major, one simply says "Yes, Sergeant Major." or "No, Sergeant Major". I think in the Marines, if an NCO is an E-7 (Gunnery Sgt) or above, they are to be addressed as "sir" or "ma'am" but not in the Army.

Oh yeah. Definitely my favourite of the IDW titles. I'd like to see Christos Gage take a turn at writing GI Joe Origins now that it's been confirmed that it will be an on-going title that will feature rotating creative teams doing character focused, self-contained 5 or 6 issue GI Joe story-arcs (sort of an "All-Star" style GI Joe title).

The main title has disappointed me severely... oh, there's robots in the PIT! BIG DEAL! That should not drag on for 5 issues. It's ridiculous. I'm honestly to the point where I'm wondering if I shouldn't even bother with it. Everybody was all excited about Churck Dixon... not me, I was worried from the get go.

So Gung-Ho and Leatherneck are Recon Marines. Does anyone know many details about Marine Recon School? I know they go through Airborne and Scuba, and sometimes Ranger School... but the Marine Recon School itself is like 10 weeks. Does anyone know any details on that?
