Neat cover. Can't make out the artist's signature. Did you do the illustration?
I've been thinking about trying my hand at the comic book thing (either writing or doing art, preferably both) again eventually. The thing is, at least here in North America, there's not much of a viable market for comic books (most small publishers run a money-losing operation) and the chances of a virtual outsider like me getting a crack at an established licensed property are virtually nil. Any comic book project will have to be funded out of pocket (which I just can't afford) unless I get an arts grant from the government or get an outside investor to help me out (fat chance of either happening... hard to convince them to put up the funding when the market for small publisher comics is already limited and by all indications continues to shrink). |

Pit III is when the BATS invade #131 Duke is in Charge but It's not completely destroyed. Cobra Turns around and goes back to Cobra Island before they finish. I sort of liked that issue.
Pit II is #53 Duke's not there. Hawk is. I wish they would make those Generals that were there. Hollingsworth, Ryan, and Admiral Dyson. Pit I is what 18 or so. Duke is not onthe roster. I've heard the argument before with what a screw up Duke was. It's true that Larry did not care for the Duke Character, but he used him. I can't say Larry always tried to make him the fall guy. But Duke was in a lot of issues, so him being the commander this falls on his lap no matter what. When all the Joes are massacred I don't think Larry wrote that thinking I want to make Duke a scape goat. He just wanted to kill some Joes in a somewhat believable way. This is one of the only times the Joes surrender. The Rock also gets attacked in DDP by Gen Rey. Doesn't look good for the new PIT. I'm not calling comic Duke "Fumbles McGee" or anything, just that it was sort of fishy how many failures happened under Duke's command. It's just odd, that's all. That's all I'm saying, Loose. I think you know what I mean. It wasn't like Reloaded where he's a double agent... or was he? ;)

Fogger, what do you think of JSI and the proposed F-14? If this hits the market I'll be happier than a Drednok in a donut factory.

Well apparently its Father's Day weekend. I just pulled up this site: HEROESONLINE :: HeroesCon 2009 :: America's Favorite Convention!
No, I can't make that. But, seriously, if we all (or most) of us want to get together in ATL or DC sometime - like maybe early Fall - I'm up for it. Let's just try to plan in advance so we can all get it on our schedule and budget for the trip. I think it would be great!

Zuludelta, if you're drawing skills are as good as your computer skills we might put together an A-Team. With Troynos' knowledge and expertise in comics and storytelling and my writing/literature background and OB's understanding of military command and tactics we might whip up some very interesting, deeply layered, throughly detailed, original stories.
