Good point. I'll have to add Ranger qualification to Super Trooper. I'll hold off on Psyche-Out though... I have him as an AMEDD officer who transitioned to Intelligence, so I figure he can get away with not going through Ranger training (besides, where'd he find the time to go to Ranger School when he's busy working on his MS in Strategic Intelligence).
Took into account your suggestions and updated Flint's filecard (to be honest, the educational entries on Flint were more of an afterthought... I didn't pay too much attention to them initially). Thanks for taking the time to write out and detail your suggestions, I really appreciate the effort and thought that goes into them. A lot of Joe fans don't really get that about Psyche-Out. They think he's a cross between Doc and Dial Tone. He's not; he's a Special Operator. And if he were a Psy Ops Officer up for selection for the Joe Team, my guess would be that he would have his Ranger Tab. The way you're using him, however, is a great way to understand the character. Thanks for taking the time to read my thoughts about Flint's education. I think the fact that he was so well educated made me like him as a kid: I figured he was one of the smartest Joes. I also had an uncle who was a Warrant Officer... he was my favorite uncle, so that made me love Flint even more. I felt like I understood his job better than most kids, because I just asked my uncle, "What do you do at work, Uncle Ron?" As always, thanks for your patience. I mean no criticism and I always appreciate your work.

I thought he was E-7 and Beachhead was E-6?

Have to wait and see. Maybe he does get demoted and that's why Scarlett seems like she's in charge in the main series.

The more I think about this one, the worse of an example it is. The Joes had been led into a trap and facing superior firepower, had surrendered at that point and expected lawful treatment - instead, Duke had gotten the crap kicked out of him by Tomax and Xamot before being tossed in the pit, and then they were opened up on by the SAW Viper, who had the advantage of the high ground.
Not really seeing how Duke's orders led them there, or how that shows incompetence on his part. But I'll play. Duke was basically advising Falcon (all but ordering him) which way to go. He led them into the trap. Shouldn't Duke have known better? Maybe. Then, as you put it, HE surrendered and expected lawful treatment - FROM COBRA?!!! Shouldn't Duke have known better? Then he got the crap kicked out of him by Tommy Hilfiger and Ralph Lauren? Shouldn't Duke have fought better? And Duke lets the men under his command die while cowering in fear? And then he cries about it? Is this the man who won the Medal of Honor? For the inability to effectively lead in battle, for inaction in the face of danger that lead to the death of most of their unit, Falcon and Duke should have been relieved of duty and possibly court-martialed. Not even Airborne could have lawyered them out of that one, my friend.

Guys, I wish we could all get together some weekend. It's great discussing story threads and character development. It would be fantastic if we could jointly work on our own GI Joe Re-Imagined as Troynos put it. Maybe some weekend we could coordinate something. I know money is a factor for some, but I could always cough up a Buddy Pass for anyone willing to fly standby.

Yeah, that's Hama-logic. A soldier can get demoted and still stay on the most elite military unit's roster. Makes sense. They shouldn't kick anyone off for poor decisions or actions or behavior. That's mean.

I'm not even going to address the rest of it, since it's pretty clear we're not going to agree on the interpretation of the issue, as your view on what happened in it and mine are dramatically different.

Depends on what he does to be demoted. Maybe it's nothing serious. Could even be something that he does that saves lives but goes against an order Hawk gave. At that point Hawk would have to punish Duke somehow, can't have his Top ignoring the General's orders, but then Hawk also wouldn't want to lose/waste a soldier of Duke's abilities.
