Feel free to join in anytime.
Zulu, I thought it was Tom Cruise too, but just the Thought of Airwolf sends me back. I use to love that show. Back when USA was one of the better channels. I think they had Miami Vice too. Now the only time I here Ernest Borgnine's voice is on Spongebob. (I watch a lot of Spongebob) |

I even had a knock-off Airwolf helicopter toy when I was a kid. It was one of my favourites when I was 8 or so. Good times. |

Two somewhat obscure characters:
Wild Card & Repeater These two guys appeared towards the end of my childhood GI Joe phase. Never owned the figures, but I found their filecards pretty funny (I'd made a habit of borrowing my friends' filecards every now and then... by that point, I was more interested in the comics and Larry hama's writing than in the toys). The whole Chaplain Assistant thing with Wild Card, I think, was originally meant to be played for ironic laughs, but thinking about it, it makes him an ideal driver/protective service specialist. Chaplain Assistants aren't just "choir boys" and "collection plate handlers," they also serve as executive protection specialists for chaplains and other designated non-combatants. I also gave him a degree in Middle Eastern Studies (which would make sense with his Chaplain Assistant specialty... Christianity, Islam, and Judaism all originated in the Middle East) and varying degrees of language proficiency in the three most widely spoken Semitic languages (Amharic, Arabic, and Hebrew)... most Middle Eastern Studies degrees require that a student speak at least one of the three anyway. I just had to include the machete that the original figure came with, though. I think it's awesome/crazy that a Chaplain Assistant would be carrying something like that on his person during the course of his duties. Anyway, you can read all about it in his filecard, which can be accessed by clicking the Filecard Project link in my signature. |

Once again...
Me = Floored. I hope you're saving some of your explanations in a file somewhere, because the reasoning behind your choices is just as fascinating as the choices themselves. I'd hate for someone who only saw the PDF when this was all done to miss out on that. Last edited by Master Thespian; 05-23-2009 at 07:23 PM.. |

I agree with Thespian. You need to include some footnotes at the end of the PDF explaining the design choices and reasoning.
I love what you did with Wild Card. Oliverbox is/was an Army Chaplain, so he'll get a kick out of Wild Card. Repeater looks bad-ass as well. Love the new Clutch, he's perfect now.

I"m ashamed I didn't even recognize Jan-Micheal Vincent. Airwolf was one of my favorite shows EVER. I made sure I went and found the theme to it (one of the best EVER) to have on my IPod. One of these days I'll convert it over to a ringtone for my phone.
I think one of the reasons I loved Airwolf was the Stringfellow Hawk character. What a great name and where he lived, alone in the mountains with his dog. How cool was that? Just an awesome show. Inspired choice to use for Lift Ticket. Too bad that particular one looks more like Tom Cruise. :/

Wow Zulu. Repeater has always been a favorite of mine. As soon as they made him I had A desert team, but I used him everywhere. The fact that he was wearing a Ranger Hat but is not listed on the filecard anywhere caused me some consternation growing up.
And Wild card. Awesome. That is the way he should have been all along. Red pants Jeez! Again Awesome! |

The Mean Dog is one of those "out there" vehicles that I just liked for some reason, the Raider is another one.
