Added some new characters to my arsenal:
Got one of the RoC Ice Vipers pretty cheap, so he'll be called Snowblind and he'll be Cobra's arctic troop leader, with the rank of Captain. Got a couple of the green Vipers YOJOE.COM | Cobra Viper Which will be my new Jungle Vipers. The Club Jungle Viper is getting renamed to be: Asp and will be the leader of the Jungle Vipers. Works good because I only have 1 of the Club Jungle Viper. Made a new Cobra Trooper named Boomslang (Cobra Flint body and the extra head, TF Flint's webgear and shotgun), he's got the rank of Sgt. Major and command in the regular Troopers. Added these guys to my Joe team: Grunt: YOJOE.COM | Grunt who is now going to be Hawk's 2iC of the Alpha Teams. Rank will be Lt. Colonel and name is Valor. Ace: YOJOE.COM | Ace He's now named Freebird and is ranked O-2, he's a Navy Pilot. Had this guy for awhile, just kept forgetting him.

I can't wait for all this RoC stuff to come out. There are going to be tons of new additions to the Joes and Cobras. I figured out how I'm going to use all the different colord Copperheads.
1- The comic pack (vintage color) will be Copperhead 2- The Sting Raider (Python Patrol) will be the Sting Raider Driver 3- The two-pack (RoC Wal-Mart exclusive) will be the Sting Raider Gunner. The Sting Raider Driver and Gunner will be re-named as Swamp-Vipers.

Yeah, I'm really excited for all the RoC toys... to be honest, I don't see any distinction between the RoC line and the 25th/modern era line... it's all the same type of parts with different paint. From my point of view, the 25th/modern era line isn't ending... it's just changing and enveloping some new characters with urban camo. I'm excited about it.
Also, Zuludelta, I want to tell you how much I've enjoyed seeing your revamp of the characters. I know it's a labor of love, and you've done a great job. I think a lot of us envision our Joeverse that way, and you've given us visual aides for our imaginations. Thank you. You do excellent work, my friend. That being said, Muskrat and Recondo will always be Army for me. Muskrat is an Airborne Ranger - those guys do as much amphibious work in the Swamps as most non-Scuba qualified Marines ever think about doing. And Recondo... well, he was named after the Army school at Nha Trang. He's Army Special Forces in my book. Force Recon guys don't specialize in Language Training to the same extent that Army Special Forces does. Recondo's work with the indigenous people of Sierra Gordo says "De Oppreso Liber" to me. Only Special Forces would be bold enough to wear a hat like that ;) I always imagined that he got that hat while training/working with some Australian SAS guys at the old Jungle Warfare School in Panama. So about the Footloose 5-pack, how do we know that Low-Light is not in it? Have they given us any more info on who is or is not in it?

Here it is: "Q2 — Some of our remaining 80’s favorites are showing up in the movie-line such as Monkeywrench. Will we see more ’85 Joes such as Low-Light and Airtight next to be released or will it be later figures such as Muskrat and Bullhorn to be released next? A2 — We will continue to bring in vintage characters in new looks into the movie line, but we are sorry to tell you that the 4 you mentioned are not on the current plan."

What's more curious is the fact that in the original run, there are only two Joes who are hispanic (Zap and Shipwreck). I thought this was the weird thing about changing Ripcord to a black guy. There are already plenty of black guys in GI Joe already (coming from a black man, so no one get their panties bunched). I don't know about zulu, but when he gets done with this project, I'm going to convert a lot of the 87-90 characters into hispanics to flesh that part of the team out.

Would it be nice to see vintage re-makes, like the anniversary line, sure it would. But I'm not adverse to having some cool new additions to the Joe team.

I never thought of Shipwreck as Hispanic either. Sure, has an hispanic name, but he was never portrayed as such (especially in the cartoon). Law was portrayed as hispanic in the cartoon weirdly enough.

I just can't understand what the hold up is with Low-Light. Maybe I just have an unrealistic appraisal of Low-Light's place in Joe fandom. He's the man in my book. Hama said he was like a "Delta Operator".

With the RoC figures I'm not going to do the same thing that I did with the Modern Era/25th. If I used one for custom parts, then I made sure I had a "clean" version of that character as well. With RoC I won't do that. The gray camo Scarlett and Cover Girl will be used for customs (Mayday and Vorona) but I'll only get the 1 of each, won't get another to have a "clean" version.
Same with ones I keep MOC. Currently if I have a 25th/Modern as MOC, then I have an opened 1 as well. Won't do that with RoC. If have 1 to keep MOC, doesn't mean I need to have one opened as well. I'll open only the ones I want to add to my Joeverse.

Sounds more like faults of the cartoon than having anything to do with revealing anything in particular. Hell, by that logic, Destro was portrayed as black on the cartoon. As for his skin tone, there are plenty of hispanics on the lighter end just the same way there are plenty on the darker side.
