Any word on when the 7-packs are going to be sold?

Offhand, I think the Army's definition of what constitutes a light wheeled vehicle (anything less than 5000 kg) and heavy wheeled vehicles (anything above 5000 kg) stems from the types of vehicles in the Army inventory. There's really a limited range of wheeled vehicles for soldiers to train on and to use. On the one hand, you've got the HMMWVs, the Army's general purpose transports, which max out at around 4800 kg at the heaviest (the up-armored versions) and which just about anybody with a driver's license can drive with a minimal amount of familiarization. The next lightest wheeled vehicle in the standard Army inventory is the M1078 standard cargo truck, which weighs about 7500 kg dry. It makes sense for them to draw the distinction between "light" and "heavy" at 5000 kg because functionally, that's where the division of the user-base is. Every wheeled vehicle in the Army above 5000 kg in gross vehicle weight is bound to be a special-purpose vehicle that requires some sort of additional specialized training, whether it be in cargo handling and logistics (FMTVs and HEMTTs), tactical driving (such as in the case of MRAP vehicles and wheeled armored vehicles like the Stryker), or artillery (such as in the case of HIMARS trucks). |

Here's Recondo, re-designed as a Reconnaissance Marine:

@#%$ YEAH! Nice work, man! Glad you got rid of the brown shirt. Recon Marine definitely works on Recondo, too.

The IGs, I think are tougher in a pure soldier way. I think all IGs are ranger-equivalent or possibly SEaL-equivalent. I think the CGs get specialized training in subversive techniques and are tough, but no in a pure-soldier kind of way.
I think at the end of the day they are probably equal in who is more dangerous, but I think IGs are more pure soldier. There's less of them then the other Cobra Forces and they were able to hold their own in various battles.

It does seem low, perhaps even oddly so.

I really think it's this more then anything. I don't think the military driver classes follow the same as civilian. Think of it as a Taxi. You need a liscense to drive a taxi. But anyone could get behind the wheel of one to actually physically drive it. Same with a forklift. You need a liscense by OSHA because there are more things to consider then just driving it, there's safety of yourself and others, handling the material on the forks well driving, when to put the forks up or down, etc.. So maybe using weight as the classification is what makes it harder to understand? If said that Lifeline could drive any military vehicle that is non-special purpose (unarmored Humvee) would that be better? I see military vehicles has being special purpose (transport, combat, emergency, etc..) and non-special purpose (get-around-the-base, etc..). The military does it by weight, which does make sense, but maybe it'll be easier to grasp why the lighter weight classification if was done by purpose?

Oliver,
The 5-pack was from one of the Q&As. THey said they canceled the Viper 5-pack (which does suck) and replaced it with another 5-pack that includes Footloose.

Zulu that is a thing of beauty. I love him as a Marine. He sort of struck me as a green Beret but his look always screamed Marine to me. Hasbro should have put one representative from each of the armed services in every year. 86 was a banner year for the Corps.
