Low-Light's file cards ans Storm Shadow's do the same thing. It is frustrating; I always just imagined that the Joes would do that to certain files for security purposes. Low-Light was in C.I.D. for a while, so I always figured he needed his cover changed. They even changed his serial number. Storm Shadow did Black Ops/Counter Intel stuff - he would need the same. Spirit was a guy who probably got sent on special assignment from time to time. It's not a great answer, but it's how I've made sense of it.

Wild Bill is a Ranger. Was in LRRPs in 'Nam and then went on to being a helicopter pilot. Doesn't specifically say he was a Ranger, but says "combat infantryman" and that he was in LRRPs, wouldn't that mean Ranger qualified? He's also Warrant Officer rank.

LRRP teams in 'Nam, after about '69 were officially part of the 75th Ranger Regiment. Prior to that, they were attached to Division level Recon Units... there were LRRPs from the 101st, the 82nd, teh 25th, etc. To be a LRRP was to be the best and most deadly of the Airborne Rangers. The Recondo School is considered to be one of, if not THE, most difficult of schools in all of U.S. Military history. That's quite a claim, but it's backed up by the fact that it is the only school in U.S. military history that ended with a "live fire/real action" patrol. In other words, the last phase of Recondo School, called "You bet your life", was to go on a Patrol and make contact with the NVA - you had to actually fight the enemy and survive to graduate. Nobody else has ever done that, not Special Forces training, not Ranger School, not the SEAL training, and not Marine Training. After Vietnam, the Recondo School was moved to Ft. Campbell, KY and was eventually shut down to save money, under the official reason that it duplicated Ranger school... and there may have been some merit to that because it wasn't nearly as intense as it's predecessor in Vietnam. Graduates of the Recondo School at Nha Trang were given a patch to wear on the right pocket of their uniform. It was shaped sort of like an upside down arrow head and said "Recondo" on it. Often, this patch was given as much respect and awe as the right side up arrow head of the Special Forces. The Recondo School at Ft. Campbell gave it's graduates a "Recondo" tab to wear on their right sleeve where the Ranger and Airborne tabs would go on a soldier's uniform. However, I do not know if that tab was worn above or below the Ranger Tab. No body on active duty is authorized to wear the Recondo tab today - although the Cadets at West Point have a "Recondo" award for outstanding personal achievement during their summer training. It may be the case that the Recondo tab is still used by West Point for it's cadets, but now I'm speaking above my pay grade. I've always liked the term "Recondo". It's a combination of the words "Reconnaissance" and "Commando". I have always felt the Marines were missing out by not using this term for their Force Recon personnel. Britain's Royal Marines are referred to as "Commandos", why couldn't our Force Recon Marines be called "Marine Recondos"? It's kind of got a ring to it like "Navy SEALs" or "Airborne Rangers" or "Green Berets". Force Recon does reconnaissance and direct action missions. They do Recon, and they are Commandos, and since the Army isn't using the term anymore... Oh well, that's just me.

you have to slide the file card in your A Track player and play it backwards.

Snake-Eyes birthplace is still classified... I suppose it could have been Bethlehem. However, before I get struck by lightening, I'll stick with my original theory that Snake-Eyes is from Virginia.

I agree that the LRRPs are badass--that's why I eventually got Recoil. I think Stalker, Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow were LRRPs as well.
