I'll get to them eventually. It's a bit of a slog trying to go through all my old stuff and keeping what's good and thrwoing out what doesn't work anymore. Rest assured that I'll be posting anything of relevance as soon as I'm able.

Zuludelta, again I must say your work is awesome. Your point about Lifeline is a good one. I'm simply curious about how you could make him "real world" but make him recognizable as well-similar to how you did Bazooka. I'm picturing something along the lines of the PJs shown in Black Hawk Down, with the emblem the original figure had placed on the side of the helmet or his sleeve. As for the comics, the "regular" Joe title is pretty good, just not as realistic as the others. I don't have it in front of me, but there's a frame that shows a wounded Hawk direcing an unnamed trooper with a missile launcher to shoot at one of the robots. That trooper has a "14" patch on his left arm.

Hey, great minds think alike! The only way I can see Lifeline working in a modern spec-ops context is if he's either a PJ or an SF medical sergeant. Personally, I'm leaning towards reworking him as a PJ, because from a design standpoint, it's easier to reconfigure his original uniform into an assault flight suit similar to what PJs occasionally wear when doinghelicopter insertions.

Lifeline would make a great PJ, just get rid of the pacifist part.

Bazooka in Joe #4 is shown similar to this version:
YOJOE.COM | Sgt. Bazooka With a "14" patch on his left shoulder.

What's the opposition to Lifeline being a pacifist? Pacifism covers a lot of moral ground and isn't necessarily incompatible with being a medic (or even a soldier, for that matter).

I'm okay with Lifeline not wanting to commit violence himself. But I don't think the extremes he was shown, in the cartoon, translates well to being a combat medic. Soldiers need to commit violence and the medic needs to understand that. A pacifist in the military would need to understand that there is a degree of violence that is required and that the soldiers don't necessarily want to commit harm to others, but that there's just no way around it.
I think they'd need to see it in more black and white "us or them". They'd need to understand that the rescue helicopter does need to have armaments so that they can go in and rescue their fellow soldiers and that you need to do violence and harm to the enemy in order to protect your own. His portrayal in the comics was pretty good, in that Special Missions issue. He wouldn't commit violence/harm or allow it to happen if it wasn't needed in order to get the team to safety and complete the mission. He saw the loss of the blackboxes as committing the mission, so it wasn't acceptable to commit violence/harm just to retrieve them from the pirates. But everything up to that point was okay, because it was needed to complete the mission and get his people home safely and without harm.

I just know him from the comics, where I didn't think he was that bad. He was more of the "I understand that violence must sometimes be done in the defense of others, but I'm not going to participate" school, when he wasn't throwing Horror Show around.
