I still use that as my default Torpedo until I can get a Clone figures head on an Snake Eyes 25th body.
I use that Surefire as a figure I use to call Scout. But I want to make him my Marine Forward Air Controller, so I need to revise his file card. So he is a pilot as well and a Maj or above. |

A little bit off topic - I picked up the Gung-ho/Armored CC comic pack on a whim this weekend, to see if the vest was removable. It seems to be, and I'm thinking it wouldn't be too hard to pop the vest and head off and do a little swapping to come up with a Resolute Gung-ho.
I'm thinking maybe a Shipwreck body (to get the light blue short sleeves), or maybe Starduster? What do you guys think?

Yeah, that could work pretty good. Probably Starduster. Shipwreck would have to do an arm swap as well.

Thanks Zulu. I need a Photobucket account. Just straight uploads from my desktop seem to always have issues. I don't take that many pictures anyway but I've always wanted to.

I just can't do it. Try as hard as I can, I just can't call the Joe SEaLs as SEaLs. They're divers. Even the 5-pack Shipwreck is called a SEaL. He's a sailor!! At most he could be part of a VBSS team.
But they aren't SEaLs. So for now, I have no Joe SEaL team. I need to make one. The movie Shipwreck can't come soon enough.

I agree. You need to use the Torpedo that Topside showed earlier. He's great. I also have one for Wet-Suit which is the the version 3 head sculpt on a Leatherneck V1 body and Muskrat V1 legs. And Rock'NRoll V2 arms.
Then a head swap for Tracker. Anybody is better. I use the VvV Chief Torpedo as Wet-Down. and the VvV Shipwreck with the Boonie hat. |

Good thing the Joes have such a large diving team.
It wouldn't bother me if they had been 1/2 wetsuits. Put a pair of camo pants on for legs, have the chest be a wetsuit with some kind of tact vest over it. That would have worked. Really, the movie Shipwreck makes a pretty good SEaL figure. Has the diving gear and the land gear.

Not my favorite versions of those figures but at least gives them some versatility. having them in wetsuits doesn't bother me so much because that's how i picture them from playing SOCOM: U.S. Navy Seals. There were plenty of missions where they weren't in fatigues. Last edited by Topside; 04-01-2009 at 07:00 PM.. |
