Hey, here's another Joe that wasn't born in the US.
Rampage - YOJOE.COM | Filecard Gallery - Rampage I still think his card is the best for explaining why he's a repaint. Such good friends with Beachhead that he even dresses like him. Red Dog was born in Western Samoa. If he was born on the other side of the island he'd be American. What does everyone do when considering the few non-American Joes. Taurus I keep as a Turk. All the British guys stay British, but nothing really is said about Snow Storm -Cuba Switch Gears- Colombia Long Range2- Mexico Backstop-Canada |

United States Marine Corps Force Reconnaissance - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Gung-Ho is my favorite so I try to make him a bigger bad-Ass than all other Joes. I have a buddy whose brother was a Captain in Force Recon. He said he was required to do the BUD/S training. He said it was fun. But then again he did triathalons for fun when they needed a drinking game. |

True they may not get the BUD/S training, it would be available for Force Recon Marines to attend. Especially as team leaders. Particulary Gung-Ho since he is Sgt Major.

There's another guy that's born in Scotland. For those that don't list foreign military service on their filecards, you can assume their parents are US citizens or the they are working toward citizenship through active duty service(I believe it streamlinrs the process).
In the comics, Vorona (aka Daina of the Oktober Guard) is the same way. The other Joes with foreign birthplaces don't have anything listed. So it can mean they are "on loan" or they were born there and moved to the US and became citizens. I think it's a mix of both and can be whichever works best for you. Off the top of my head, I don't think any of those listed (Snow Storm, Long Range, Backstop, Red Dog, Taurus and Switch Gears) don't have any service (foreign or US) listed.

You guys see the new listings for new ROC figures?
Looks like we're getting some new Cobra units.

Take anything you read on Wiki with a grain of salt. The guys on the Navy SEALs forums are very adamant about BUD/S being Navy and Foreign Service only (The Coast Guard recently made a deal to get 4 slots a year in a pilot program to jump start their own spec ops program). Now when MARSOC stood up DET-1, the Navy had a course at Coranado to integrate the Force Recon guys with the non-Force guys. I do believe other services can attend other courses at NSWC like Dive Medicine and Dive Supervisor.
I was looking for anything to verify what had had been told. Wiki is not the end all be all for sure. I'm only guessing that the Marines have a few slots a year for their guys. The BUD/S training is optional, but I suspect they have a few guys go through. I need to find some source other than the internet. These guys have already done parachute courses and combatant diver courses, but if they sign up for another detail after their 1st 18 months then I could see them wanting to take other courses to keep their skills sharp. But without proof I'm only guessing. I need to find out the truth blackrazor. Otherwise, I won't be able to sleep at night. |

List of United States Army careers - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Army Corps of engineers has a bunch of other jobs that fall under that branch. So Tollbooth may be a 21C bridge crew member and Hard Top something else like in the Logistics branch. Mechanical Engineer doesn't seem to be an enlisted man's job, unless he's electronics maintenance, which seems closer to electronics as per his first card. Either way I think all combat engineers learn how to build bridges or for sure know how to construct the modular bridges the army stocks.
