Here's one for those of you more in the know than me - does the TRU SRO Ace resemble anyone else? Since they gave him a helicopter pilot's helmet (and I need more helicopter pilots), I'm going to use him that way, but I'd rather use him as an existing character if possible. Any suggestions?
I'll probably make that figure my Greenshirt Helicopter pilot.

I have too many helicopters right now - a Kiowa, a Little Bird, an Apache and a SuperCobra on the way. Need more 25th pilots!

Here's a question for you guys.
When you "make" an existing figure into a new character, how do you keep track of name/job for the new character? Do you actually write up filecards?

Ladies & Gentlemen, sorry to interrupt this discussion, but I just heard back from Larry Hama... and I thought you'd want to hear about it.
Here's exactly what he said: "Five questions is no prob, but bear in mind that I wrote those cards more than 25 years ago, never thinking of them as canon, and in fact, continually retconned my way through the storyline!" My Fellow Tankers, let's start thinking of some questions... ;) Yeah, I'm pretty freakin' pumped!!! Here are the biggest points of interest on my mind: 1. Joe qualifications/training - Which Joes (ie, the not so obvious ones) were intended to have Ranger/Green Beret/Marine Recon training? 2. Joe organization/command structure - How did Hama envision the Joe's formation, organization and chain of command? Was it intended to function as a Group-size unit like Special Forces with Colonel Hawk as the CO? Or did he envision a much smaller, SFOD-D type unit with support from the regular Army? Are or were all the Joes supposed to have SOF backgrounds? 3. What should have been published in the file cards versus what actually appeared - In other words, were there any requested changes that brought about particular inaccuracies in the final drafts (eg. "Was Flint supposed to be an E6 or WO2?" "Was Stalker originally conceived as a Green Beret?" "Should Altitude be Sgt Major of the Army?") or were these simple editing/artisitic mistakes. 4. Disparity and disproportion in ranks - How come there are so many NCOs compared to E4s? Why weren't there more company-grade officers, or Marine officers for that matter, created to fill gaps as the Joe line continued? |

Yes, unfortunately it is a chopper helmet, but that's ok because I gave Ace the pilot's helmet that came with my bbi F-18 and now he's my new Hornet driver!
