I love the filecards; I appreciate them more now then when I was a kid. In fact, back then the only thing I cared about on the filecards was the rank, but now I pretty much read all of them.

Here's something I just thought of, but I can't truly vouch for the lucidity of my comment because it's really late...
Why is blood type never mentioned on the file cards? Just hear me out. Every set of dog tags (I.D. Tags) that every person in the military wears has four pieces of information: -Name -Serial number -Blood type -Religion (I promise. I'm not making this one up - they have to know so they'll know how to bury you if you die... again, Chaplains are pretty important for the Army). Blood-type is important for a soldier. What the heck does it matter, you might ask. Well, where the heck do they get the serial numbers? They've got those and they don't matter one bit... they just added to the realism, and so would blood-type. Plus, it might add some suspense if a Joe needed a transfusion, but there was nobody on the team with his/her blood type. That's a lot more significant than a serial number. What do you guys think?

I also want to congratulate my friend, Troynos, for starting a thread that has gone for 30 pages and includes no previews of new Toys, or rumors of comic books or cartoons. Just 30 pages of fans showing their love for the classic G.I. Joe lore.
Great Job, buddy. Well done. I think we've all learned something. And knowing is half... awww, who am I kidding? you guys know the rest.

They really had fun with some of the names. Not only are the original three Dreadnoks "Tom, Dick, and Harry," they're also "Winken, Blinken, and Nod." |

I'd forgotten about Cutter coaching the women's swim team. That's a riot.
Going back a couple of pages, on the subject of snipers: Low-Light is the first and still the baddest. Barrell Roll has to be pretty bad-ass, to be able to shoot from a moving aircraft (high altitude marksman). That is kind of odd that the Joe team doesn't have spotters. I think they are really only needed for long-range shots. SWAT doesn't use spotters, I don't think. The Joes have the makings of their own SWAT team: Shockwave, Wide Scope, Longarm, Sure Fire, Bulletproof and there's 1 or 2 other cops in the Joes right?

Snipers work in teams of two, and they alternate between who is going to be the shooter and who is going to be the spotter. Therefore, just team up Lowlight and Crosshair. One can be the shooter and the other can be the spotter. But if you really need a spotter, you could put Sneak Peek in that role.

The Four main snipers that come to mind are:
Low-Light Cross hairs Barrel Roll Hollow Point There are a few other Joes who are also sniper/sharpshooter trained/qualified like... Claymore - Army Sniper Training Scarlett - Marine Sniper Training Bullhorn - Marine Corps Pistol Marksman Sure-Fire - Police/F.B.I. Marksman (Low-Light's CID Boss) Am I missing anyone? I want to say Low-Light is the best because he was the first, except for Scarlett, but that's really not her main specialty. However, Cross Hair has been put as the official sniper for Tiger Force and Night Force - that's got to mean he's some kind of good. Yet, Barrel Roll is apparently able to do some ammount of sharpshooting while gliding around with his jet pack which is pretty impressive. All the while, Hollow Point was an instructor at the Marine Scout/Sniper school at Quantico - which is like the Best sniper school in the world. The man taught there! Issue #66 synopsis Quote:

I think adding the bloodtype to the cards would be cool, just another step towards realism.
Some things the Joes are missing would be support staff. Does Clutch do the maintenance on the jeeps? Is Steeler qualified to repair the hydraulics of the Mobat? Are there any Joes qualified to be mechanics? I'd like to see a new Joe base with base personnal, a mechanic/computer anaylst/etc.. I liked that America's Elite showed a large support staff at the Rock. Yeah, Spearhead is an accoutant, but do you really want to take him off of mission status so he can do the books come tax time?
