It lists where the name, for the characters that were specially named, came from. Alot are Hasbro employees, Joe Designers, Joe fan club members.

Join Date: Nov 2006 Location: 100 miles east of Dallas,Texas USA Posts: 764 | The Dreadnoks names; Tom Winken, (Torch) Dick Blinken (Buzzer) and Harry Nod (Ripper) are an inside joke by Larry Hama, and an allusion to Winken, Blinken, and Nod from the childrens' nursery rhyme, "The Three Fisherman".
And lot of joes have their birthplaces listed as Rhode Island not just because Hasbro is based there, but also because a lot of joe figures have names (and/or anagrams of names) of Hasbro employees.
