I think Cover girl should come with a small vehicle so is armor. My 7 pack:Claymore, Footloose, Leatherneck Proper, Muskrat, Lowlight, and Dial-tone, and Repeater. But My idea would be Mission Brazil so I'd replace the last 3 with Pathfinder, Big Brawler and Wreckage. |

I never had Claymore, so he's not one I'm itching for them to make. I'd buy him, though - I'm all for new figures. Pathfinder was one of the last Joes I had - he looked cool but I'd hope a remake would come with more realistic accessories. Don't know the other two (Big Brawler and Wreckage) past what's on yojoe.com.
I'm not sure why I have a man crush on Claymore. He's one of the only Officers that wasn't a pilot. I want a true Jungle pack. So adding guys that are not wearing green doesn't look right. I'd hope for a non-yellow Claymore. Pathfinder can do without the things on his waist. I cut those things off as a kid same with Repeater's. Repeater would be awesome in jungle green though. But I loved his Desert look too. Both Big Brawler and Wreckage are jungle experts so they fit. Big Brawler was just a wannabe Outback. And Wreckage is a homage to the TigerForce Sabretooth that never got released. Neither Character appeared in any media. Claymore was in the DDP comics for a while and he was pretty cool IMO. So it made me like him even more. |

Big Brawler is a definate Special Forces Joe. He's an intelligence guy. I'd almost think he was a Green Beret, he'd be doing work in the jungle with the indigneous people.
My next 7-pack: Low-Light, Spearhead, Big Ben, Muskrat, Dial-Tone, Repeater, Footloose

I think some of the Joes, Flint and Low-Light come to mind, that had done some top secret-forget-it-happened stuff for the Company a time or two. I see Flint has having connections in the Intell world.
I think Joe has a pretty big intelligence unit, not just the guys we've seen. They'd have to have, to be able to get the information they need. Can't always rely on the other Agencies to get it for 'em. I see the Joes as pretty self-sufficient and not relying on others for much of anything. I like what Loose Cannon said: Chuckles is qualified beyond Special Forces. I think that before going to C.I.A., Chuckles probably worked with the Army's Intelligence Support Activity, which is the Intelligence/Spy counterpart to Delta Force and SEAL Team 6/DEVGRU. The ISA has a lot of different code names - they change regularly to avoid detection. Most notably, they have been called "Gray Fox" and "The Secret Army of Northern Virginia". Both names are an allusion to Gen. Robert E. Lee... go figure. For Chuckles, as a pure Intel specialist, this background makes the most sense to me. The ISA is the REAL DEAL, and there is a consistent problem with their personnel being hired away by the Agency's Special Activities Division. Just my theory, but it's the one that I use in my Joeverse.

Claymore is a excellent choice of a commander for a Jungle team/base. The colors work well for Tiger Force, and when I use my Claymore with Tiger Force, that's the uniform I use for him. Speaking of Claymore, I think there's some consideration that needs to be mentioned about his qualifications. Namely, his time in "Southeast Asia" seems to have involved several tours with the MACV-SOG groups - probably the Phoenix Project. If that's the case, and it seems to be the case, then he was probably a Company Commander with a L.R.R.P. unit in 'Nam, and then recruited for the C.I.A.'s Special Activities Division. That would explain his intelligence background, and if he's S.A.D., then he's just as tough as Delta Force. S.A.D. does their own selection and training that's on par with anything from Delta or DEVGRU and he would be beyond regular Special Forces.

Also, I use a Street Fighter Movie figure (Navy SEAL Guile - Variant edition) and swapped the heads with a Tracker head to give him a dive suit. I used that suit specifically because it's the same mold as v2 Wet-Suit, but it's painted completely differently, and I wanted some degree of difference. This same problem with awesome characters having lousy costumes (and I say "costumes" as opposed to "uniforms") is what prompted me to create my custom versions of Claymore, Super Trooper, Rapid Fire, and Grid-Iron. They are all great characters, but their "costumes" were jokes. I'm currently working on a customized/militarized Joe Colton... I think it's going to turn out well. The TRU Yellow Torpedo is a really cool figure. I'll probably use him as the unproduced Tiger Force Torpedo since I already have a custom Tracker.

Neither Character appeared in any media. Claymore was in the DDP comics for a while and he was pretty cool IMO. So it made me like him even more. 1. Claymore - CO/Intel 2. Big Brawler - NCOIC/Explosives 3. Recondo - Recon 4. Pathfinder - Jungle Infantry 5. Muskrat - Ranger 6. Repeater - Machine Gunner 7. Hollow Point - Marine Scout/Sniper I realize that "Hollow Point" and "Big Brawler" are much newer characters and there's not a huge push by the fans to see new editions of them. However, they are good characters and they fit in the Jungle. Repeater, Pathfinder, and Muskrat would probably be very welcome in the 25th line. Hollow Point maybe the most controversial choice. He's an obscure character and if they make a sniper before Low-Light people will be furious! However, he's a Marine, which means he knows a lot about Jungles, and Low-Light wasn't really a Jungle kind of guy. I think the best thing they could do with a set like this is to give them all matching Jungle camo uniforms... like the old Vietnam tiger stripe. Did you guys see that custom Special Forces A-Team thread by Marine Deadpool? That was amazing. Something like that would be great. I wondered who ordered that set from him?

I don't know about SF, but he's the real deal. Possibly ISA.

Big Brawler is another one of those that just doesn't fit what they're supposed to be doing. Name and costume just don't fit an intelligence guy.
I think Chuckles went the non-military route thru the Agency. I think Big Brawler went the military route. He just seems to be more of a military-man then Chuckles, who's pure spook. I can see Big Brawler being in the Special Forces/Green Beret and the Agency recruiting him. Or he was just in the Army's Intell. I think Big Brawler would work better for the Intelligence Officer for the Jungle Team because he had been to the Jungle Warfare Training Center. Claymore seems more qualified and more experience, so he's better served in an overall intell group commander role.
