Yeah he's one of those who seems like he's military. But when they say "he was a body builder before he joined GI Joe" is kind of lame. They should be like he served in the Special Forces, Green Berets before joining GIJoe.
Then I don't care how many weights you lift. You're still a bigger badass than any dude drinking protein shakes all day. Oh and I forgot that Claymore would make a perfect CO for Tiger Force. He's got the colors. |

The Defiant floating in Space would be a great asset to capture satellite images to track nearby enemy movement. I suppose you would have to cut back your tree line to accommodate your aircraft. Also to prevent the enemy from sneaking in too close. This is where you need a SeaBee. Like this guy: RE-BAR |

So have we come up with a formal Joe unit to run the artillery pieces? How do we organize the HQ and do we rely on Green shirts to fulfill support roles or do the Joes do everything? I've come up with a list of vehicles that should definitely fall under Artillery. Some pieces like the Whirlwind are better suited for Air Defense, I think, and some like the Rolling Thunder could play multiple roles. And just for fun I've listed their weapons and even some of the ammo they might come with (e.g. the mortar unit comes with an ammo box that looks like it might contain 24 mortar shells). Still not sure if the PAC/RAT missile launcher should stay under Air Defense or if it should be employed as artillery support. The blueprints don't provide any info as to the missile type, but the vehicle closely resembles the MIM-23 Hawk which fires SAMs, so air defense seems the likely choice. Also the HAL should probably be Air Defense since it is a laser and lasers fly a straight path. Not sure how it would work as artillery, but since I don't like laser weapons I've always thought of it as a howitzer.
ARTILLERY: Wolverine (Armed Missile Vehicle) – twelve ground-to-ground missiles FLAK (Field Light Attack Cannon) – 105mm howitzer HAL (Heavy Artillery Laser) – laser cannon Bivouac – XM-65 rocket launcher, one XM-65A 98mm projectile Slugger (Self Propelled Cannon) – 175mm howitzer, 30 caliber quick sequence machine gun Mortar Defense Unit – 60mm light weight mortar, twenty-four shells Missile Defense Unit – three EX-83A 55mm long-range missiles Mountain Howitzer – 105mm howitzer, eleven EX-700 high explosive anti-tank rounds Forward Observer – EX-29 55mm mortar, six rounds Ammo Dump – 7.65mm machine gun ammo, 62mm HE-2 mortar rounds, 109mm heavy HE-5 rocket, XM-65 grenades, infra-red homing AEM-8 short-range missile. SLAM (Strategic Long-range Artillery Machine) – ten thermal night-vision control mini-missiles, four 90mm cannons Rolling Thunder – Eight seats, ATSV mounted dual-barrel .50 caliber machine gun, two quad thruster rockets with six free-fall cluster bombs each, chin laser cannon, .50 caliber machine gun with deflector screen, six sidewinder surface-to-surface tank destroyer missiles, multi-missile air defense with five rockets, three optically-armed surface-to-air missiles, 90mm turret cannon, four double-barrel armor-piercing laser cannons. Thunderclap – four-man crew, rapid-fire computer-controlled cannon, three surface-to-surface delayed detonation cruise missiles, dual-barrel MG-999 assault weapon, four multi-directional surface-to-surface missiles, high-powered battlefield cannon with four shells, missile launcher with three surface-to-surface missiles, two 70mm mini-cannons. General – Four tri-barrel machine guns, twelve heat sensitive surface-to-surface missiles, four dual-barrel corner cannons, two air-defense missile stations with four missiles each, long-range mortar cannon with four mortar shells, locust helicopter with four missiles and two twin cannons. Just realized I included the Missile Defense Unit in here and this should go under Air Defense. It's hard to tell with little info if the missiles are surface-to-air or -to-ground, but this looks like it would more effective against attacking aircraft.

Who else is anti-air in Joe? Claymore and Falcon are both tasked elsewhere, part of the Special Operations units. Pathfinder would replace Ambush on the Recon team.

General Rey or General Flagg as Base Commander?
I see Gen. Colton as overall Joe commander. Hawk is CO of the North American/Main Base. There are 3 other bases/units. South American (Sierra Gordo), Asian (not sure where), European (not sure where). Smaller bases in the Arctic and Trucial Abysmia (desert). The 4 main bases have Generals, smaller bases, not sure... So Rey, Flagg II and are there any other Generals?
