Post the pics of the customs you guys won. Would like to see 'em.
So here's a question, who was the best General to lead the Joes? Flagg Hawk Colton Rey Obviously Hawk had the longest "tenure", but was he the best? I'd say Flagg would have been the best if he had lived. He was there from the beginning, formed the team, and dealt with the Jugglers the best (Hawk was too in-your-face, Flagg was more political and I think it got him his way most of the time). Colton lead the team during a tough time, with the AE-group all going all over the place, and during WW3. He did a decent job. Rey was just never given a fair chance to shine. |

Gosh, I sure hope we aren't bidding on the same guys... that would suck. To think I've been driving the price up on a friend and vice versa... I sure hope not. We should probably check with each other in the future.
I did my best with the General Rey Bio. It's long, but there's a lot I wanted to get in there. I tried to leave the Serpentor bit a little ambiguous... I know it's weird and a little hokey, but it's a bit part of who his character was designed to be. I've always found it to be a really interesting idea: if all that genetic material had been used positively, what would that have been like? I'll be interested to hear what you think. Still we could say they just used the same genetic materiel that was later destoyed. (of course nothing is ever destroyed) The one thing that bothered me is that where did he come from? I need to go back and read. I guess the Jugglers deceived by Cobra created him. But if you figure that maybe they made a deal with Mindbender right when the first serpentor was killed, and part of the deal was the genetic materiel, then 20 years has past. Or 12 comic years, lets say. We start him out as an accelerated clone of 18-20 years old. He joins West Point in 1988, with no real past but a made up youth with fake memories implanted somehow. This may give him enough time. I need to go way back and read hoe Mindbender got the Idea in the first place, because Golobulus didn't put it in his head. Maybe one of the cobra Scientist is an undercover agent? |

Hey Guys, so I won a Magnum P.I. custom figure the other day and I'm really excited about it. I'm certainly going to use him in my Joeverse (Magnum is my favorite show - of all time). I guess I'm trying to figure out how he fits into my Joeverse.
Magnum was Navy Commander and a Navy SEAL, who finished his career in Naval Intelligence. I was thinking of putting him on the U.S.S. Flagg as the Officer in charge of all Naval Special Operations. Although I'm sure he'll have to do some intelligence/investigative work from time to time... What do you guys think? |

I didn't read alot of the DD stuff but I have a few questions and thoughts that may clear up General Rey's ability to be who he is. Rey was inserted by the jugglers along with the rest of the Pheonix guard, correct? This was around the same time as Cobra Commander was moonlighting as a presedential aide, right? My thinking would be that with all CC's clout in his new position and with some dealings with the jugglers he may have been able to create a file for Rey and insert it into whatever database is needed.
Kind of running two "insertions" of Rey together. His first appearance, the Jugglers forced him onto the Joe team and made him the leader, this was near the end of the DDP run, just prior to the Red Shadows storyline. The head Juggler did know Rey's origin, and was the guy responsible for the government getting the clone's in the first place. His second "insertion", when leading the Phoenix Guard, he was put in place by CC when he was the Presidential Aide. So CC came into Rey after he had already been on the Joe team. There's no evidence that CC even knew that Rey was a Serpentor-Clone. I think he just used Rey to head up the Phoenix Guard, cause Rey was an ex-Joe and a loyal soldier who follows orders no matter what.

Definately Delta. Great thinking and backing up the thinking with supporting facts.

I use all of them, plus a few others, but Colton is in overall command. Like Austin or Hollingsworth, but at the PIT. Hawk is number 2 as a Lt General Keel-Haul number three Austin is #4 out of retirement (Pentagon) Jackel (custom Government Intelligence Officer 0-9 equiv) Duke(0-8) European Operations Flagg Jr(0-8) Logistics(He's not Dead in my Joeverse) Hollingsworth(0-8)(Arctic operations) Contol(0-8) (Custom Marine Amphibious Warfare Commander) Payload (0-7) AirForces Gen Flagg III(0-7) Armor Gen Rey (0-7) Battlefield General (Cavalry) Roughneck(0-7) Bronze Bombers(Marine General/Urban Assault) |
