You are missing Blast-Off
https://www.yojoe.com/action/93/blastoff.shtml Best page on Blood for the Baron if you need some new characters to pull from: PALITOY 1983-1984 Scout being the "Minesweeper" MINESWEEPER. Tracker being the "Sapper" SAPPER

Not to get off-Topic with the Engineers but I know both Darkhawk and Tyroc have solved the issue with having to rename the Action Force Characters that share the same names as other Joes. I know it will be better than what I will come up with.
In particular: Steeler (Spartan?) Breaker Stalker (Panther?) Tracker Doc Blast-Off

someone, I think Darkhawk, renamed Steeler to Talos. Spartan was something I suggested, IIRC, as it was a name I used for a Greek tank gunner who worked with Steeler in my fic. I renamed Stalker to Redline in the same fic as I was using "Night-Stalker" for a helo pilot and didn't want to use two names that were so similar.
I used Mercury for Z-Force Breaker for my "real AF" group, with Triage for Doc, Tagger for Blast-Off and Toro for Tracker. If you're boring, just plain "Sapper" could work for him too... Last edited by CapBritain; 01-25-2019 at 03:33 PM.. |

Oh Triage is good. Nice to see you CapBritain, you of course are a great source to ask about Action Force.
I actually am using Sapper, although I keep wanting to call Scout "Sapper" and call Tracker "Scout". I need to add Fixer, Sniper, and Lightning too, but those names gotta go.

Steeler (AF) - Talos, giving credit where it’s due, I got from Zulu
Breaker - Echo, borrowed from someone, can’t remember who Stalker - Redline, also believe I got from Zulu Tracker - Montero, again credit goes to Zulu The Doc - didn’t rename yet, but stealing Triage Blast-Off - Blowback, yet again I think I got from Zulu |

Tracker being the "Sapper" SAPPER I actually made Blast-Off a Marine since he is part of the "Mega-Marines" and no service branch is listed on his file card. His MOS is 7051 Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting Specialist. But like the other firefighters I really do not have a use for them on most of my Joe-structures I have going on (Delta, SAS, AFO, etc). I am not sure if a MEU has any firefighters assigned to it but if they do I could put them in that particular alternate Joe-ish universe. I have various structures going, most based on real life military units including: Delta Force (based on two assault and one recce Troop performing counter-proliferation) SAS-type (based on Air, Boat, Mobility and Mountain Troops performing counter-proliferation) Delta/SAS (based on placing Joes per year they came out into certain Troops, i.e. 82-84 in one, 85-86 in another, etc). SMU performing AFO (based on a structure Zulu presented a while back) MEU PMC Government-agency counter-proliferation agency (non-military unit but staffed with mostly ex-military and civilians). What I call "Origins" where I slowly expand their unit with each year much like the Marvel comics did (i.e. the Original 13 start things off and perform a few missions. Later the 83 Joes join the unit and so on and so forth). This is currently what my fan-fic is based on. And just for fun I placed my Joes in a SEAL and MARSOC type of units. So depending on unit type is basically how I classify some of their MOS's. So an AFO unit will not have any firefighters in it but maybe Barbecue and co. could have started as firefighters and then re-classed as a SF Engineer Sgt or something. That way you could realistically have them in a SMU unit. Doc would need to be modified as well. He would probably need to be a SF Medical Sgt instead of a medical doctor. |

The SOE Firemen are trained in emergency CBRN situations and response. Everything from digging people out of buildings (Technical & High Angle Rescue), dealing with injuries and casualties because of a Chemical, Biological, Radiological or Nuclear Incident. If you're stuck on a place to put them, you could attach them to your SWAT Teams or Domestic Response guys as a Search & Rescue type deal. I understand that FEMA has several emergency management teams made up of highly skilled civilians that can be called when needed. If your Joe Team is geared towards Counter Proliferation then that would make sense. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FEMA_U...cue_Task_Force |

UKSF has members of the RAF Regiment in the Special Forces Support Group alongside 1 Para and Royal Marines for CBRN support. If I was to add the combat firefighters I created for my Combined Universe to my "real AF" unit, I'd probably make them RAFR guys doing CBRN/Hazmat stuff.
My figure collection is organised with Barbecue, Airtight, Tripwire and Lightfoot as a CBRN and EOD team. If I was to add the Eco-Warriors, Airtight, Barbecue or Inferno to my Joe team in Black Sword - the "realistic GI Joe" story I did, it'd be as a CBRN group... |

The firefighters could also be used as medics, since many civilian firefighters are also EMTs.
