Okay, so Rock 'n Roll's Hall of Fame file card says that he is a rock climber in his spare time, climbing New Hampshire's Mt. Monadnock and Japan's Mt. Fuji over-and-over. Even crazier, his workout routine involves lifting weights and Volkswagens! (I'm assuming the VW Beetles; not the buses.) Worse, he's losing his hearing, according to Doc II (his v.8 file card). If you lose your hearing, that's kind of a big deal in the military, right?

Old man Rock. Rock'n'Roll has always been a young at heart character. Yet one of the few to hit SGM. Stalker never even got that. (He did in DDP though) Does anyone use him in any sort of leadership role?

Shadow Guardsman as a Secret Police force another 200? 100 Immortals or less. Maybe just a dirty dozen. CG commanders and Horsemen are Force multipliers when used to command units. Maybe only 100 of these guys? I guess I am talking about 1000-1200 total Crimson Guards.

Since they indicate he is a rock climber then I will place him in my Mountain Troop instead of Mobility Troop (which there are PLENTY of mobility-type Joes as it is). Stalker is an E-8 and a Troop Sergeant in my Joe-verse. Rock'n'Roll is an E-7 and a Team Leader. Stalker has too many qualifications for him not to be anything less than an E-7 or E-8. If the Joe Team is on par with Delta than there would be no one less than an E-5 on their roster. I like to think that the Original 13 would be more in the Team Leader roles versus Joes that came out later. |

Really? Scarlett as a captain? Besides being a very capable assassin, is there anything in her file card to warrant such a promotion over the others of the original staff sergeants?

Anybody know the story on the Dark Ninja Master? There's 2 representations of him: a Sigma 6 version and a Micro Force version, but I couldn't find any file card online. I seem to recall Sigma 6 Flint challenging him in an online short comic, but I can't find that either. What's his story?

Hall of Fame Rock'n'Roll? When did this version come out?

But I'm with you on the idea that all the Joes should be leadership-qualified, and any of them (except perhaps for Mangler and Cool Breeze) ought to be able to lead a team, especially in their field of expertise. In Rock's case, I figure that tends to include missions that involve zero finesse and a lot of smashing through walls. I think it depends how you use her. If she's simply murdering people then she could stick with her original E5 rank. If she's doing complex unit-level intelligence analysis and briefing then I think captain is a fair rank. |

Was it ever revealed what units Gung-ho & Leatherneck were from? Where they Force Recon? I'm assuming that they were from the baddest section of the Marines.

I hadn't seen the HoF version either.

I found him, it was actually the 12" R'n'R. I never think to check out the filecards for the 12" line. And I agree that Scarlett should have been an Intelligence Officer. How she is depicted just screams it. Quote:
If I recall correctly I think Leatherneck's later filecards specifically stated "Force Recon" while I believe Gung-Ho's stated "Marine Recon", which could be either Force Recon or Division Recon. In my Joe-verse I make both characters former Force Recon. I believe both recon groups go through more or less the same type of training, but that their scope of missions is slightly different (Division recons within arty fire range while Force goes beyond any fire support range). I also believe that all Force Recon Marines are combat-diver qualified (someone correct me if I am wrong). |
