So, I guess Fer-de-Lance, Louisiana isn't a real place. It's where Gung Ho is from, but I can't find it on any Google searches.

according to the erratic GI Joe wiki, it's not real and may be a family home in the backwoods or something.
I say erratic because their service branch listing makes out like the SAS is a seperate military force that both Big Ben and Skymate were in rather than being two regiments with similar names in two seperate armies and when I edited the page to fix that and other similar mistakes, some ****er reverted it. |

Okay, who's the JOE that would be most likely to "pilot" the drone of the RPV (Remote Piloted Vehicle)? I thought maybe Fast Draw, because he's covered head-to-toe in a fire-proof outfit. But, when I read the specs for the drone, it said it was a turbofan engine. Now, I know that big plane engines will knock you on your butt. Seeing how this is a smaller one, you don't have to worry about getting burned, but would the thrust hit you in the face if you were in the driver's seat?

I don't think the pilot would be sitting behind the engines but if that were the case, you'd need to worry more about getting blown away than getting burned.

If you think of it as a Missle then Fast Draw is a good fit. If you think of it as a drone for Recon? Scoop? Bombstrike? Do Forward Observers utilize Drones now? I never owned the RPV.

I notice that the RPV is supposed to be "remote operated", so maybe the little tracked robot ('Remote LB-109 "Little Brother" Fire Control Radar Station') actually launches it? (Though I think it's just supposed to be a mobile radar unit for the drone.) Maybe the seat is just a driver's seat to get the drone from place-to-place? |

That's what I assumed although the box art shows otherwise.

I think the seat is the control station for the drone. The remote pilot launches and operates the drone from there.
