Another great setup, Z! Looking forward to your digital character composites if you get around to them. How would you go about setting up a multinational joint task force between Action Force and the Joes? I've been reading through many of the joint publications and the possibilities are endless, almost to the point of confusion.
As to your question I imagine any sort of joint task force-type collaboration between the Joes and Action Force would come under the general auspices of a NATO-led multinational security mission such as the various joint SOF task forces under ISAF (primarily involving US and UK SOF, but also incorporating SOF personnel from Canada, Australia, Poland, etc.), to give just one example. The Marines have ARFF (Aircraft Rescue & Firefighting) Specialists—firefighters who specialize in airfield crash incidents. It's supposedly one of the more difficult careers to get into in the Corps, as only a very small number of positions in the active service are available at any given time. I never thought the new guys in the Mega Marines were Marines because Clutch wasn't. So, I just figured it was a BS name like 'Sky HAVOC'.

Do you all consider Steel Brigade as a Multinational Force? The original figures don't necessarily promote that idea. They are more like Green Shirts. Later they are listed as International.
How or why could they not just fall under Action Force?

No, I wouldnt have them Multinational, but never as green shirts either. More an elite unit within an elite unit. Now with them being more recently as a security team, think of Duke and Ripcords unit from the begining of RoC, just not getting taken off guard or slaughtered. Which is why I can understand having a small rotary wing. Skyhawks make sense, or say something like Blue Thunder, or how the Cobra Gunship was used. I don't think the Mega Marines were ever meant to be a real unit made up of actual Marines. It was just a riff of Aliens Colonial Marines, as evidenced by the unproduced Mega Marine members; Duke, Frostbite and Barbecue. None of whom were Marines.
See the Joe Declassified article here; http://www.joedeclassified.com/wp-co...15_FINAL_2.pdf As for Steel Brigade, I just see them (and use them) as the generic Support Troops for the Joe Team. The security, logistics, engineering, mechanics, cooks, maintenance guys etc. The SB paratroopers are the Riggers, SB Delta are the vehicle / maintenance guys and the SB Sky hawks are UAV assets assigned to the Squadron. |

See the Joe Declassified article here; http://www.joedeclassified.com/wp-co...15_FINAL_2.pdf In spite of that, though, in your mind, is it possible that Blast-Off and Mirage were former Marines? You guys know the military world and roles way better than I do. I never served, so I only have basic knowledge of who can do what, or not be able to do something. That's why I love this thread. I learn so much. |

Yeah, I see that and understand the origin. Thanks for the link. It was a fun read.

That was based on a 'filecard' I saw on Magnum 6 Delta on Joe Battlelines. |
