And here's the Brazilian Cobra Soldier, who came with an M-60, by the way (instead of the usual Dragunov in the U.S.):
Cobra Soldado ‘Cobra Soldier’ (Cobra [a.k.a. Cobra Soldier / Cobra Trooper]) – Cobra Soldado Enemy agent, received rigorous training in the most modern tactical combat. [He] Is always ready to perform the most risky operations against the Commands. [He is an] Expert in explosives, heavy weapons and martial arts. His face is incognita , he always uses a mask. |

And finally, the Brazilian Cobra Viper Glider (who in this instance, appears to be a single Enemy Agent):
Cobra Piloto ‘Pilot Cobra’ (Cobra Viper Pilot) – with Cobra Asa Delta ‘Cobra Delta Wing’ Excellent [?] aviator, Cobra Pilot has a single desire: pursue the Commands and defeat them. [He] makes corkscrews and flybys like no other enemy agent and promises great challenges to the Falcon in his Camouflaged Hang Glider [“Delta Wing”]. Neat thing about his action figure that makes him stand out from the other "Hang Gliding Cobras" is that he came with a light blue uniform and a red sigil (as opposed to the U.S. made silver chest emblem). |

In a surprise attack, the Cobras have made the Commandos retreat. Rearguard, however, was providing cover for his team-mates to gain ground. With his laser rifle and his machine gun, he managed to stop the advance of the enemy. The Commandos could regroup and fight again, successfully. That's why they say, “step back and actually open space for to Rearguard to act!”
“Rearguard was never a front line officer. Not by fear, but by strategy of the fight, he always stands behind the troops, avoiding attacks from the rear. The laser sound of his weapons to the commandos is the tranquillity of combat.” Brazil Repeater |

From an early age, Rocket Man loved messing in his father's weapons collection. Worried, his father dispatched him to the army shortly after an opportunity arose. Once there, Rocket Man specialised in missiles and tanks. Joined the Commandos and is always on the front line, firing his well-aimed missiles. The Commandos say he did not need guns because he's a real Rocket Man.
Brazil Bazooka. The name translates more accurately as 'Bullet Man', but Rocket Man makes more sense as a LAW guy, right? |

Rocket Man sounds good to me, besides we already have a Bullet Man (Adventure Team) - he was in IDW continuity as Richard Ruby, an ex-SEAL
Thanks again for the translations Cap, I might take another look at the Netherlands filecards. I did some translations of the Japanese filecards a few years ago but found nothing remarkable. |

Before being a Commando Lance-point played football in the guard position. When he joined the Commandos, his courage and sense of team-spirit caused him to be called up for the most difficult rescue missions, saving Commandos captured in Cobra territories. His companions always say that for Lance-point the operations are good "games". Because Lance-point always wins the "matches" against the Cobras!
Brazil Heavy-Metal. I renamed him Striker for my fan-fic because 'Lance-point' sounds too close to 'Spearhead', as well as just not being all that 'cool' sounding. |

I also have that he played the "point guard position" in football (soccer, I'm assuming), though the word "armador" can also be translated "shipowner"! Ha! Here's Brazilian Rock n' Roll (always a favorite):
Gladion 'Gladiator [?]' (Rock ‘n Roll) – Arma Pesada ‘Heavy Weapon’ Expert in weapons, he can penetrate alone among enemies, to harass their positions. Is very strong, and can carry his heavy machine gun anywhere. His firepower increases even more when commanding the missile launchers. |

Went ahead and added Brazilian Zap:
Dragon (Zap) – Bazuqueiro "Bazooka Soldier" (probably more literally a play on words: 'one who wants to go with a Bazooka') He is the commando that has an amazing marksmanship [or, incredible aim], equipped with a modern bazooka and special backpack to store his explosives. Without the bazooka, Dragon is also a great motorcycle rider. I'm assuming he was expected to also drive the RAM, which was sold at the same time in Brazil... Ah, what the heck. Here's Brazilian Stalker:
Triton: Gk. ‘of the three’ (Stalker) - Cabeça de Ponte ‘Head of Bridge / Bridge Head’ (can also be translated "Beachhead" - the idea being that he is always "the first in") He is the most agile of the commandos. And he goes in front to spy on the enemy position. Expert in jungle combat. Drives a jeep as no one [else]. Confuses enemies with his lightning attacks and he [is] practically unbeatable in hand-to-hand combat, Judo fights, Karate or Kung-Fu. The Jipe de Ataque 'Attack Jeep' [a.k.a. V.A.M.P.] was sold at the same time in Brazil, but did not ever include a Clutch action figure. I'm assuming that Stalker became the substitute, just as Zap ("Dragon") could drive the Moto-Metralha 'Shrapnel-Motorcycle' [a.k.a. RAM] and Rock 'n Roll ("Gladion") also operated the Lança-MÃ*ssil 'Spear-Missile' (a weapon launcher exclusive to Brazil)... Last edited by seaneley; 08-13-2016 at 01:59 PM.. |
