Sgt Major, your post just made me take a look at the Anti-Venom TF guys and noticed that they have the 3rd SFGA sigil on their helmets. Never noticed that before..or more correctly when they first came out my knowledge of SOF was zilch
The images are pretty clear in this review JoeBattlelines: Review of GIJoe Anti-Venom Task Force Last edited by Tyroc; 07-16-2016 at 01:51 PM.. |

Black Vulture is a dangerously skilled member of Cobra’s airborne forces. He always works at night when he is practically invisible in his black clothes. Dropping from high altitude, Black Vulture can sustain long free-fall flights until he spots the Commandos, then he swoops in, lower and lower, until he lands in silence and launches surprise attacks, often leaving no witnesses and taking no prisoners!
As a child, Black Vulture dreamed of being a soccer referee, the all-black clothing fascinated him. He once refereed a game, but stole the clothes and fled, leaving everyone angry as the match was abandoned. But he enjoyed himself! |

As a young man, Gatilho was known as the “beast of the arcade” because he beat the high scores of every game going. Since joining Cobra, he has become known and feared as their best sniper, he is so fast at firing, any weapon fires like an automatic in his hands. He swiftly became one of their top operatives in Forca Naja, the elite troops used for missions requiring superhuman abilities. Not for nothing is he known as “Trigger”.

Corrosion is a chemistry wunderkind, when he was a child, he enjoyed concocting solutions of corrosive chemicals in school labs and then ‘testing’ it across the city, destroying trash cans, grills, gates and even cars. He knows the capabilities of the solvents and solutions he produces so he never removes his protective gear including the helmet that has corrosion detection sensors and antennae transmitting disruptive signals.

Cap, do you have any anything to translate the ranks? Ive done a google search and only thing I come up with is the Officers. NATO rank and what they are called in Brazil and Argentina.

I wonder if the Argentinians got the ranks mixed with weapons. Like Sokerk is grade M5. TNT is M16. Shimik is G-08. But then others are E7 or E5.

I completely ignored the ranks, they don't seem to make an ounce of sense.

Pollution’s real identity is classified, he used to be a director of a notorious highly-polluting nuclear power-plant. Desperate to prove there was no danger, he led a group of environmentalists in a tour, but whilst demonstrating the efficiency of waste-disposal equipment, an accidental leak occurred, hitting him in the face. The accident left him horribly disfigured.
“Pollution blamed the environment for his accident, he vowed to make the world as ugly, shameful and despicable as he is. He invented a unique acid and put all of his knowledge of high-level pollution into the service of the one organisation that could make use of it: Cobra!” |
