Ninjas are good for one thing only: secret assassinations. I'd use them for wet works that couldn't be traced back to the U.S.A. (If caught... deny, deny, deny...)

i love this Junkyard dog breed discussion; i'm going with a Rotti and German lab (stockier build) mix with one parent being a German shepherd/pit mix? smart and sappy with loved ones, vicious to threats? reminds me of my German lab and a Rotti mix we almost adopted (hated Huskies due to a fight as a puppy, didn't get along with our dog, a Husky/Shepherd/Lab/maybe Rotti mix).
me and both of my neighbors in Germany all got labs there; two certified pure, and one we pure owners thought was mixed because he ended up lankier, skinnier and stupider. after puppy training the first time my pure barked at a person (18+ months) was at a shady guy hanging out on the way back from a walk we'd passed earlier (I was carrying my kid at the time so it seemed extra protective). he's only barked a few times since then (once pissed at a stray, one response to a neighbor's puppy, one warning to our toddler, a few in play to our older dog). i'm also reminded of watching a dog unit during a change of command ceremony in Germany; mostly German Shepherds and a few labs, at least visually. most stayed put but one acted up (barking and doing small circles) and got dirty looks from the other dogs. explosives, drugs and tracking? makes sense. this discussion also makes me miss my best friend's dad who died a couple of years ago, a Vietnam veteran veterinarian. - |

I use Quick Kick as an Intelligence trained operator. He's an ex-USAISA aka the Activity Operator . He uses his language skills, appearance (Half Korean / Half Japanese) and smaller stature to blend into any environment in North, South East Asia, Central Asia and anywhere with a Asian immigrant population to conduct Advance Force Operations. He goes into an Area of Operation to conduct surveillance, rent cars and safehouses, buy weapons and supplies either legit or on the black market and cultivate contacts.
As an ex-operator, he has the same basic skill set as all the other Joes, so he has the basics of CQB, MFF, Combat Diving, Direct Action drills etc but he tends to work by himself or in a pair with another Intel operative where he's usually paired with either Jinx or Amber (his girlfriend from the cartoon) so they can conduct surveillance posing as a couple. As a martial artist, I use him more as a Jackie Chan rather than a Bruce Lee. He defeats his opponents with anything at hand rather than specific weapons that he couldn't really carry operating in public like he does. |

You don't happen to have a use for Budo (one of my other least favorite characters) now, do you... |

I use some of them in Intel also, since strong hand-to-hand combat skills might be needed while working undercover with limited weapons. Some are dual-purpose infantryman with HUMINT and special target skills interdiction, but Banzai has to leave his pink Eyes-Wide-Shut mask at home.

Damn Tyroc, that is an excellent use for him! I think for the first time since his character has been introduced that I actually find myself enjoying him now! Brilliant!
You don't happen to have a use for Budo (one of my other least favorite characters) now, do you... I've patterned Budo on a GySgt (now retired MGySGT) in the Marine Corp's first attempt at a SOCOM unit and a fore runner of MARSOC - USMC SOCOM Detachment One (MCSOCOM DET One) DET One's armorer was a very highly skilled precision weapons specialist of Japanese ancestry (I won't name him publicly) who has a reputation for extremely fine craftsmanship and ability. I read that he overhauled all the DET One's firearms and they're now very collectable and pricey. Here's a link to some of their history. http://www.marines.mil/Portals/59/Pu...00001300_1.pdf Sadly, it's only 70 pages. There used to be a full pdf but I can't find it publicly. Anyway, the thing about MCSOCOM DET ONE was there were only 70 members but they were all given advanced CQB training, there's a famous story of them training with a SEAL Team and the SEAL's were shocked when as they were exiting a CQB Kill House they saw the DET One Admin and Support guys geared up and ready to go in next. |

Thanks John, I use Budo as a Sabre Squadron Armorer. I've made him a Marine in my 'verse and I don't know but the fact that he's always working on motorbikes and all the swords etc, to me he screams 'Swordsmith' or metal worker especially his Retaliation figure.

Squadron Commander (O-5) Squadron Sergeant (E-9) Squadron Operations Officer (maybe filled by a CW-2 or CW-3?) Squadron Communicator (E-6) And to fill out the HQ element on my Squadron I was thinking of the following billets: Supply Sergeant Armorer CBRN Sergeant (or just attach CBRN operatives from my Support Squadron) Squadron Operations Sergeant Any other billets that sound feasible? |
