Great discussion on Mutt and Junkyard.
I want to briefly talk about one of my least favorite characters, Quick Kick. I was wondering how everyone else uses him, as a frontline fighter or as an intelligence operative. His PMS is Infantry and his SMS is Intelligence. I was thinking of having him start his military career as an 11B Infantryman and then re-enlisting as either an 35F Intelligence Analyst or a 35M Human Intelligence Collector (or vice versa, start out in the Intelligence field then move to Infantry). I hate the concept of his character (a guy who runs around in no shirt and shoes) but feel I need to place him in my Joe-verse by giving him more of a emphasis on his military background. |

Definitely more Intelligence for me. He's part of my Urban assault team with the rest of Ninja Force

On Junkyard, I took a quick look through some old comics and I do see the lab features. Lab makes more sense than rott, so that's good enough for me.
On Quick Kick . . . intelligence or civilian. I see him as a guy who Joe contracts to run unarmed combat classes (not that Joe is short on instructors, but with op tempo . . .), and maybe be an intelligence source, both domestically, and travelling on the fight circuit. I can see Cobra reaching into that circuit to find a few operatives - guys with no other marketable skills, on the wrong side of organized crime's gambling & fight fixing scene - Quick Kick might be able to feed info on prospective Cobra recruits and recruiters. |

my Black Sword fan-fic doesn't use martial arts characters. Snake Eyes is a Delta operator with martial arts training, that's it. so no QK, Jinx, Storm Shadow, ninja force etc.
in my combined verse, Quick Kick is dead, per the US Marvel comics. if I were to use him in Black Sword, which is probably similar to what you're doing Shaft, it would probably be as either a martial arts trained Delta operator specialising in silent weapons (nunchucks, throwing knives mostly) and being an infiltration specialist OR it would be as a CIA SAD operator with martial arts skills. Possibly as some sort of undercover operator in illegal fight rings or something as LowTech suggests. |

Where in Black Sword so I can read it?
I was going to ask what people do with the rest of Ninja FOrce, since I would say the say restraints hold for them as for Quick-Kick. Nunchuk looks usable enough as a Jungle COmmando, something like Kamakura. Quick-Kick (With a Shirt on) works as far as Urban environments go. I use the Dojo Battle Set Roadblock as Dojo for now. He's just the heavy weapons guy to me. Sure he's an accomplished hand to hand fighter as all the Ninja FOrce guys are, but in the end he's firing a SAW. I like to think they work best performing Body guards duties. Sommething Zuludelta came up with and works pretty well. My problem now is Tjbang and his bright Yellows.

I basically "fired" Ninja Force in my Joe-verse. The only people with some sort of ninja type training are Snake-Eyes, Storm Shadow, and Jinx. But as I stated previously they are soldiers first (SS a former Ranger like Snake-Eyes) and martial artists second. |
