The space shuttle launch is in a world all its own.. Same for the General and the MMC. Each fills the role of a command center when in play so they make the other two redundant. But I think the Bridge Layer and the Equalizer go with every Joe Armor missions so they can keep moving.
Imagine couple Armadillo scouting ahead MOBAT MOBAT MAULER Grizzly Equalizer Wolverine Bridge Layer Raider HAVOC Brawler HAVOC 2.0 Armadillo x2 rear Guard. Treadripper, Neutralizer, Skysweeper should probably fit as well. Fast attack is another mission with so many choices. Still like you say LowTech. I think Steamroller, Hardtop, Major Storm are probably always available. Probably together as the command team

Haven't done one of these for awhile, I've been distracted by my fanfic and other stuff but here's my take on Hawk.
Attends the United States Military Academy (USMA) at Westpoint Whilst there he completes Air Assault School, Airborne & Ranger School (like most West Point grads). He also attends a semester at Sandhurst (nod to Action Force bio). Plays Varsity Rugby and La Crosse Graduates top of his class with a degree in Aerospace Engineering having made the Dean's list and a Superintendent's Award Recipient (being top 5% in physical, academic & military excellence) Attends the Air Defense Artillery Basic Officer Course (ADAOBC). Air Defense and anything to do with missiles is seen in Big Army as a 'Big Picture' career and officers can see rapid promotion thru this career track He goes on to complete the ADA Advanced Officer's Course and as an a distinguished honor graduate attends the Patriot Top Gun Master's Course in Air Defense Operations & Planning at Ft. Sill, OK (6 week course) Serves as a XO for 6th BN, 52nd Air Defense Artillery in Ansbach, Germany (nod to his filecard Cadre North Atlantic Range Command) After attending Space Officer Operations course, he serves as a 01A XO in the 2nd Space Company, 1st Space Battalion attached to USSOCOM. (a node to Star Brigade, Devil's Due Space Officer Training and his filecard USA ENG COM EVR Missile & Radar Training) He also picks up; ASI65 ARMY SPACE CADRE ENABLER SQI3Y SPACE ENABLER As a Space Operations Officer he is attached to a JSOC Task Force and meets Joe Colton, a man who becomes his mentor. Participates in a fire fight where he wins his first Silver Star. Deeply impressed with his prowess under fire, he is courted by Special Forces but is kept from transferring by higher ups in the DoD. Hawk is forced to use his family connections to extricate himself from the clutches of ADA / Space Command and creates the first of many political enemies in his career Attends the Special Forces Qualification Course & the SF Captain's Career Course (SOFCC) followed by the SF Detachment Leader's Course. Attends the Special Operations Language Training in Russian, eventually mastering French, German and Arabic Modern Level II. Also completes Military Freefall training. Assigned to an ODA, he forms a life long friendship with young Junior Medical Sgt SSgt Carl 'Doc' Greer Pt 2 tomorrow Last edited by Tyroc; 02-29-2016 at 10:33 AM.. |

The care and thought you put into this is beyond amazing. I can't wait to see the rest of the Original 13 (exceptions being Steeler, Stalker, Short-Fuze and now Hawk). |

Red Mack is the only one who comes to mind. Doc and Snake-Eyes make mention of Mountaineering. You could assume many of the Arctic Joes will have Mountaineering training as well. Might as well swap it out wiht all the Cold Weather survival Instructors PMS/SMS.

I'd also add Barbecue (assuming training in high angle rescue) and those who very clearly do urban ops as they would probably be going up and down the sides of buildings. And I'd add the SEALs, as they do a lot of climbing training in order to get from fast boats up onto large ships and marine structures. I think they have team members dedicated to lead climbing. You could probably make a safe assumption that everyone knows their way around a verticle obstacle, but that some Joes are that much more skilled (and probably spend their vacations defying gravity) who get the job of running the refresher training, testing new equipment, and doing the lead climbing jobs on missions. |

If you're into incorporating foreign Joe variant characters: Alpine's Argentine and Brazilian counterparts Everest and Risco (Crag) and Brazilian Hit&Run Alpinista are also mountaineers. Alpinista is actaully described as a free-climber hobbyist, perhaps explaining the lack of grappel line accessories!
