I renamed the Sky Patrol Airborne to Air Raid after the RoC/PoC version of Franklin Talltree.
with my OCs some of the names are derived from units they were in (Eightball and Blackjack served in USN helo squadrons with those nicknames), aircraft they might've flown (Mongoose, Rooivalk, Hornet, Tomcat), hometown sports teams, home towns or home state nicknames (Lone Star, Granite from Aberdeen (the Granite City) in Black Sword), something to do with their job (Ring Tone, Playback, Wireless, Roadhog, Powerslide, Swerve et al) or just plain old rule of cool (Cougar, Goliath, Brimstone, Magnum, Card Sharp, Apex, Wraith etc) |

Which Joe makes the most sense to accompany Tollbooth in the Bridgelayer? I'm assuming a demolitions guy, like Tripwire, Light Foot or Tunnel Rat. I mean, would the Bridgelayer need 2 people to operate it? I would think the 2nd seat on the Toss 'n Cross would simply be for someone like an EOD or Engineering expert.

The M60 AVLB has a two-man crew. Vehicle commander and driver.

My local National Guard unit had a bridgelayer when I was a kid, before they switched to cav scouts. It is pretty amazing. I can't imagine how strong the hydraulics have to be, that bridge looks heavy and at a poor angle for leverage.

I always liked Version 1 Roadblock. The Colors seemed to match. But Tripwire, Lightfoot, or another Engineer would make a good fit.
Hardtop with the hardhat.

I try to avoid anyone in a secondary seat who already has a vehicle, in case there is any conflict when both vehicles are needed at the same time. Plus, Roadblock is so overused and his specialty is heavy machine gun specialist. The Bridgelayer has 2 semi-automatic 105 mm "RAP" cannons; whatever those are.

Actually, I'd argue that it makes the most sense to double up (or more) existing drivers. Most of the vehicles are pretty specialized. They may be good for one type of mission but not for another. So the team would pick the most appropriate vehicles and park the rest, freeing up a bunch of crewmen. |
