A few more potential MOS's (from the 83 lineup):
Duke: 91F Small Arms/Towed Artillery Repairer, 11B Infantryman, 18B SF Weapons, and/or 18Z SF Operations Sergeant. I may take the 91F MOS out as it seems going through four MOS's is a bit of a stretch. Airborne: 15T UH-60 Helicopter Repairer (got this idea from Zuludelta, it makes sense for his "Helicopter Gunship Gunner" specialty) and 11B Infantryman Doc: 62B Field Surgeon Snow Job: 11B Infantryman Tripwire: 89D Explosive Ordnance Disposal and/or 12B Combat Engineer Still need to think of ones for the rest of the Class of '83 |

Definitely and it has bothered me as well. 88M's mainly drive larger trucks and transport troops and materials around (from what I have read). Standard Infantry Platoons assign their own drivers within their own Platoon (meaning 11B's get assigned behind the wheel). I may make him as starting out his Army career as an 88M then when his service time is up he re-enlists as an 11B. Maybe his new Platoon Sergeant recognizes his driving skills (from his time racing and his former MOS as an 88M) and has him take the wheel of one of the Platoon's Humvee's. From there he goes on to take more advanced offensive and defensive driving classes (someone posted them a while back I believe). His filecard states he is Ranger-qualified but maybe he also gets assigned to the 75th Rangers as well (maybe goes from an 88M, then 11B, then RASP, then 75th, then Ranger School?).

He's one I actually DO think has an SF background, particularly if you consider the timing of Joe's release. Given his EOD knowledge and familiarity around nuclear weapons (Marvel ARAH #4), I figure he had a role in Project Green Light, being trained to deploy "backpack nukes" (Think Like a Green Beret: Exfil | The Loadout Room and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Specia...ition_Munition). While that task, under that name, has been cancelled, I would assume there's still a similar task out there so it could still be applicable.
But that's all dependent on whether or not you want his primary responsibility to be as a combat engineer or as a heavy weapons operator.

What if, instead of Transport, Clutch started out as a mechanic. He gets sent to a Ranger battalion to fix their jeeps. He then applies for Delta and makes it through selection. That's where he picks up Covert Ops, Executive Bodyguard and Ranger schools. Then he ends up in Joe.

I recall reading about it Haney's book, though he may not have used that term. |

I guess I mean COvert Ops School, which a few of the original 13 attended. Hawk, Steeler, Scarlett, Rock'n'Roll, Clutch. Breaker and Flash went to Covert Electronics, maybe the same school house?

I'd assume the training is conducted by the CIA in their facilities.
I sometimes wonder about covert electronics. I figure that's more along the lines of bugs, wire taps and other forms of electronic eavesdropping, possibly including laser and parabolic mics. Today it might also include elements of hacking. |

So maybe: 0326 Reconnaissance Man, Parachute and Combatant Diver Qualified Tripwire 89D totally (He's a SF Engineer in IDW If you want to beef him up) Airborne will have some Repairer MOS. The Blackhawk is perfect. I don't know how Airborne rangers combines with Crew Chief though. Progression of crew chiefs | Article | The United States Army 11B doesn't seem sexy enough for Snow Job. What MOS do drill sgts have? Duke is a SF Weapons Sgt to SF Operations Sgt 18Z in my book. That makes him an expert on Small Arms. Ace/Wild Bill should be easy to figure out. Torpedo, and Cover-Girl?
