I think it's quite plausible that some spec ops guys might get their private airplane, multi engine, instrument rating, and even commercial pilots license to enhance skill sets because it not as expensive and time consuming. I just don't see the need to send anyone to fighte pilot school or anything.

Then there is Scarlett. How do you factor in the SCarlett (GLenda) filecard? Quite a bit different.
Scarlett (v10) G.I. Joe Action Figure - YoJoe Archive " She graduated summa cum laude from two Ivy League universities and went on to excel in training courses at all four branches of the armed forces. The COBRA organization often mistakes her for just a pretty face rather than a member of the elite GI JOE team, which makes her perfect for undercover missions, on which she used various aliases. She is a naturally gifted pilot who has flown in some of the most advanced military aircraft in the world and is one of the G.I. Joe team's helicopter pilots." Two Ivy League Universities and still only an E-5? Personally I have made her a Captain. It seems to suit her better. But her original is one of the most over the top of all. Graudated: Advanced Infantry Training and Ranger School. Special Ed.: Covert Ops School; Marine Sniper School; Special Air Service School; Marine Tae Kwan Do Symposium; SAS SChool? Did she do the Long March? Scarlett must be an Amazon Beast like Gwendoline Christie. |

I never knew there was a connection to Italian language. I am not sure that influenced Larry. I think the name comes from DESTROY. I feel like I read that before. What does it mean in Italian? Right-handed? Crafty?

Destro was named that in BAF continuity because he was Red Jackel and tried to kill Cobra Commander/Baron Ironblood and the last thing he said was 'Destro' before CC knocked him out.
I am so totally not a fan of that story. |

Destro in italian is right-handed man and also is used for indicate a crafty person. I read on wiki this ".....he is laird of Destro Castle in the scottish highlands..." but i'm not sure is the real reason of his name. Like Loose Cannon user i think the name could come from DESTROY....but the mystery remains. Maybe only Larry Hama can reveal it.

I read the same thing. In Bellomo's book I think. He said it was short for destroy, which I thought was odd since it's only one letter less.

Oh yeah that was terrible. Does he brain wash him to forget about Red Jackle? My Red Jackle is Artur Kulik. I still haven't added Skeltron, Red Wolf, or Kraken to my verse yet.
