I'm a little unsure of the maintenance team. Bazooka, Tripwire, Dial-Tone seems an odd group for maintenance but I am not sure the function. Cover-Girl and Clutch may be of use as mechanics? Other Motor vehicle guys: Rollbar, Cannonball, Long-Range (Garcia), and Blocker who is listed as Mechanized Recon. Knockdown may help with the Anti-aircraft role. What about some of the other Artillery guys if you needed more or extra gunners. (major Barrage, Thunder, Long-Range (Fritz), Sub-Zero since you have Arctic guys mixed in) Fast-Draw and Mirage Salvo? Mercer may be of use for your dismount guy? Rampage? The Spitfire driver/Beachhead lookalike? |

Maybe switch out the Crossfires for a Badger and a Mudbuster? Then each vehicle gets a driver and a dismount and Rapid-Fire doesn't have to drive himself.
I forgot Sandstorm and Switch Gears. Switch Gears could take Rampage's place as driver. The Spitfire is sort of ridiculous but looks faster than the Hammer. You know what I like as a command vehicle is the Quick Strike. G.I. Joe Quickstrike w/ Sgt. Bazooka

Bazooka Good ideas on alternate vehicles, and on Switch Gears, and there may be a place for Repeater as a gunner . . . I'll keep tinkering. Additional ideas are always welcome! |

You know I just realized both Knockdown, and Blaster are listed as Microwave Technicians. I guess I just assumed one was and never realized they both were. Add Dee-Jay to that mix and that is quite a SIGNIT team. Not sure if that helps you Lowtech.

Had it just been a test unit that Joe occasionally protected or that trialled equipment for Joe then that would have been one thing, but to be a sub-unit struck me as odd. But that concentration of specialised technical skill in a single high tech sub-unit does make some logical sense. |

Ha. Yeah I do like the idea of the Joes having a High Tech unit for testing new equipment. I figure Avalanche and Maverick don't really belong with the unit though. But I have added guys like Kickstart, Matt Trakker, Gears, Effects, Grand-Slam and Flash, Sci-Fi, Cannonball, Super Trooper, the Flamethrowers, the Hostile Environment guys, Red Spot, and Speed Metal. A few others as well.
I renamed them Special Weapons Force.

The outfits, the hair, the vehicles . . . even the movie that inspired the director (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stone_(1974_film)) sounds like it's tailor made for Buzzer's file card. I did a "Mad Max" search on posts but came up empty. Anyone else seeing the similarities? |

I guess we haven't spent a lot of time on the Dreadnoks. Probably they don't fit well in the grand scheme of military Joeverses. The obvious connection to Madmax is there. Especially because of the Australian connection.
