I think it's safe to say, though, that whoever did the bios for the AF figures was an idiot. An MFF qualified helo pilot? two guys with criminal backgrounds? a conscripted circus strongman? a playboy businessman? gimme a break...

Yeah that's unfortunate sometimes. I pretend all the non American Action Force guys are UK citizens regardless of where they were born. Still there are some we have no military backgrounds for like Guacho and Hunter.

This makes me wonder about the previous occupations for some of the Joes. How does that play into their service? Ace and Quick-Kick and Dogfight with the stuntman backgrounds are sorta cheesy but that could make them older.
Then there's Bullhorn, Bullet-Proof, Rumbler, Law, Shockwave with Federal or local law enforcement experience.

Just discovered another weird file-card. The first 2 figures of Charbroil were listed as "flamethrower" (which wasn't even allowed in the U.S. military due to the Geneva Convention, if I remember correctly). The "Anti-Venom" v.3 Charbroil file-card changes his role to that of a "Warrant Officer", however he still remains a lowly grade: E-4. Is that even possible?

^it's no different to Flint's first filecard, though. He was listed as an E4 or 5 and yet he's Warrant Officer...
Personally, I ignore the stuntman backgrounds and accept that Shockwave, Wide Scope, Bullhorn, Bulletproof, Mace etc. were drafted into the Joes for whatever reason due to their expertise - like Bulletproof being a DEA bigshot leading the DEF. Spearhead's an odd one as well, that he was an insurence salesman who went into the Army. Means he must've signed up at about 25 or something after a few years as a successful insurence salesman |

Yeah, I remember that. I just want to know if it's remotely possible that Charbroil (or Flint) could be a Warrant Officer and yet have a grade of E-4, or if it's a silly error on the part of the file-card.

That Charbroil Warrant Officer file card was silly. But there are plenty of Joes who would make more sense as Warrant Officers. Particularly guys with advanced degrees. Not that it is required, but coming into the military at say 26-28 years old, would either allow you to advance quicker, but you also fill most of the education requirements for Warrant Officers and First Sgts. Plus those technical guys coming into the military would essentially maintain a lifestyle closer to a civilian.
I mean how many Joes have masters degrees in electrical, mechanical, computer engineering? Grand-Slam, Flash (when he finishes his masters), Hard-Drive, Hardtop, Mainframe, Sgt Hacker, Doubleblast, Kickstart.

My official No-Prize explanation for E-6 Warrant Officer Flint (which was fixed immediately after for all ARAH Flints) is this :
Typically you have to be E-6 to even apply for Warrant Officer. The filecard captures Flint before his commission had gone through. He obviously was sought after for his intelligence and strengths. Flint's career was probably on such a steep upward slope they couldn't even fit it on one filecard. Of course going to flight Warrant Officer school to become a Warrant Officer means you are going to be a helicopter pilot. So In my verse he is a Special Forces Warrant Officer.
