This may be a little off topic, but would Tom Selleck of Magnum P.I. make a good Chuckles? Where would his friends T.C. and Rick fit into the G.I.Joe? In some of the flashbacks, they served in Vietnam. Tom Selleck is now the Police Commissioner in Blue Bloods. Would he now make a good Hawk? Where would MacGyver fit into G.I.Joe?

I use Tom Sellecks Vietnam era character as a Navy SEAL commander. Commander Magnum. Sort of conflicts with my commander Bond character SBS. Both are more into planning abd part of leadership.

Lol, good to know! One thing that has bothered me for a while is standard Infantry guys like Ripcord being MFF-qualified. My understanding is only Special Operations Forces are the only ones that can even try out for it. I think he makes more sense as a Special Forces Engineer Sergeant. Same with the other HALO Joes: Drop Zone: already SF so he is good Skydive: A Ranger but I believe only those in the Ranger Reconnaissance Company can attend that school so I am putting him that unit. Altitude: Recon so I would also make him RRC Airwave: either a Special Forces Communications Sergeant or a USAF Combat Controller or TACP Airborne II: Special Forces Medical Sergeant Static Line: Special Forces Engineer Sergeant Freefall: States Rangers on his file card so another RRC Also does anyone know if US Army Pathfinder units are MFF-qualifed? I wasn't sure if this was a requirement. If so Pathfinder and Dart would most likely be MFF-qualified. |

Because of his low rank, I think it makes more sense to put Rip Cord on a Ranger Recon Team since they can specialize in MFF.
And no, Pathfinders aren't required to be MFF. |

I like Ripcord as a Special Forces Engineer, but his rank is somewhat of an issue. I tend to put him as a staff Sgt now.
Considering the RRC didn't exist in 1984 I wonder what Hama thought about Ripcord. Especially with all the civil air Patrol background. Something about it seemed to say Air Force to me. And like you John, Airwave seemed Air Force to me as well.
