Thanks to everyone’s suggestions here is what I have thus far in regards to assigning my Joes into HALO, SCUBA, Mountain and Mobility Troops. I also have them as categorized with their specialties of signals, linguist, demolitions and medic. There are several which are not assigned to a particular Troop or don’t have a specialty (and five Joes which have neither). So once again I am looking for any suggestions based on the filecards or even the comics (Sunbow/DiC is completely out as a source lol).

Yes I was going with the four main specialties that SAS Troopers use. Signals being an RTO-qualified soldier.
Thank you for pointing out my lack of Troop Commanders! I had them in a different spot on my spreadsheet and overlooked them. Here are my other Troop Commanders (all with the rank of O-3): Falcon (Medic, Demolitions, Linguist) Claymore Psyche-Out Super Trooper Capt. Grid-Iron Rapid Fire Mainly need them assigned to one of the four Troop types. Everyone else I do not have listed I already have them assigned someplace on the Joe team. |

It may be impossible to include everyone but those two are the team Special Forces Officers

So the Joes need more than just a weapons qualification, in my opinion. EDIT: So basically a 16-man Troop would look like this: Patrol One: Troop Commander (an O-3) Trooper Trooper Trooper Patrol Two: Team Leader Trooper Trooper Trooper Patrol Three: Troop Sergeant (second in command of the Troop. Would lead two Patrols if the Troop splits into two 8-man sections) Trooper Trooper Trooper Patrol Four: Team Leader Trooper Trooper Trooper Each Troop Commander, Troop Sergeant, Team Leader and Trooper would be qualified in either demolitions, medical, linguistics, or signals. FWIW, in the British Army, from what I've read, snipers are required to go to a specialist sniper school. So, that at least, is a weapon specialism...

My understanding is that SAS snipers are integrated within one of the four Troops in a Sabre Squadron, which would mean they would also need to have one of the four skill sets. Is this not correct?
