How big do you have JSOC? Wikipedia says 4000 but I would like to verify that. I would figure the chief of staff to be an 0-8 and third in the chain of command. Still it's 4-6 generals. I suppose the staff directories are all O-5 and O-6 and there could be some as well that are part of the commander's personal staff. I saw that SOCOM set up but it is for the whole shebang. As a whole there must be 50 Generals in SOCOM. I found a few other publications that have a typical Joint Operations Headquarters setup. Not sure how closely JSOC follows this but I assume many of the roles would be part of almost any headquarters.

One more thing I found:
http://www.ghqmodels.com/pdf/toe3-us...battalions.pdf It's fun to talk about the Generals, but when it comes down to it GIJoe is hardly bigger than a company or maybe Battalion. This seems pretty dated and I don't know how much has changed, but it seems like the standard Battalion (T/O&E) Model. What I like is the level of detail. They even tell you what weapons they have and who is carrying which ones. Now I need to find a more recent Table of Organization and equipment (T/O&E).

This may be of interest http://www.globalsecurity.org/milita...m3-90_2012.pdf US Army - US Army Table of Organization and Equipment USMC - USMC Command Element - Organization Documents They're both slightly out of date but they give you a good summary Last edited by Tyroc; 05-08-2015 at 10:32 AM.. |

Being from a rural area in the US, I grew up with a rifle in my hand. I remember reading magazine articles about the new bullpup rifle with integral optics that was the future of infantry rifles. Then, a couple years later, it seemed like it wasn't the wave of the future after all. Was it accuracy issues? that seems to stick in my head that the rifle had unacceptable accuracy.
To be fair, the M16 series is now a decent rifle, but it is a long time in coming. It had a lot of birthing problems as well and through the various changes, we have had to change bullet weights to accommodate different rifling twists. Chrome lined chamber and barrel, which reduces accuracy slight, very slightly, but increases barrel life and eases cleaning. And, finally started putting optics on them. I was issued an M14 variant at one point and I preferred it to the M16 but over the years, I sort of came around to the M16. I now have my own AR15/M4 instead of buying an M14, mostly because it was easier for my daughter to shoot.

Haha, even Countdown's filecard admits what a boring figure he is.
Do you think he'd be qualified to fly a C-130 or is it strictly fighter jets or space shuttles? |

I have Payload as the C-130 pilot and Countdown as an Air Liason officer. Space Shot is his Co-Pilot.
Joes don't need astronauts.
