Wow! I can't believe that there is a joe from my hometown of Kirkwood, Missouri. Too bad I don't really care for Blast-Off.

Any interest in condensing the thread's knowledge into individual articles for each member/branch/etc in the Hisstank Database?
We talked some time back about a wiki, but I guess this could do the job (it may well be a wiki for all I know). |

Yeah you would almost need a separate forum category like character bios. Or "what secrets lurk in the filecards-Stalker."

Found out something interesting. I was doing some prep work on some Joe Fanfic I may or may not get around to doing. Since the main protagonist would be Stalker, I did a quick word search to see if "Lonzo" was an actual name instead of short for Alonzo. Anyway, turns out "Lonzo" pronounced "LAHN-Zoh" means "Ready For Battle".
I wonder if it was deliberate of Hama, I think Zulu mentioned once that he got most of the file names from his Mom's High School Yearbook. I found it interesting anyway.. |

What language would that be? Swahili? I would love to read it whenever you do get around to it. I thought Alonzo has European origins. I think it means the same Ready to fight or eager for battle.

Alonzo sounds like a Spanish name.

I finally found the Chap Mei Soldier Force Submarine today
Soldier Force Submarine Playset - Smyths Toys I got two and thinking about buying another 2. Unfortunately they went straight into storage until I get time (and space) to attempt any kind of custom work (or at least making them less 'kiddy') I see them as Special Operations mini submersibles patterned on the Swedish Sea Dagger Class subs Sea Dagger Special Operations - Naval Technology One will be the SSN Tiger Shark (based on the out of scale 2001 toy) The other will be the SSN Sea Wolf (Based on the 1970's Joe One Man Sub) If they still have them when I'm in the area next week I'll get another two and they'll either be; SSN Nerka & SSN Trogon after the RAH Memories of Mara ep or SSN Tuna & SSN Minnow (??) which were featured in the IDW continuity Still looking for the Osprey. I'd love to get a few but the shipping cost to Oz is hugely prohibitive |

hmm, am nearly ready to cough up for one of those subs, especially as I'm sure my daughter would play with it (once converted for use in the paddling pool), which gives me a good excuse ;)
Back on topic, slightly, after responding in a thread about The Corps! (and while searching on-line for the right names for the figures), I see they have a nice website (as in they have one at all) with character bios and mission profiles: CorpsHome (try clicking Teams). The profiles aren't very detailed (and I've yet to register to see what the Missions section holds) but at least they exist in an online form (that could potentially be expanded in the future, etc.) |

Backstop was a junior league hockey player, and being from Quebec, that means he was likely in the QMJHL.
Lady Jaye went to Bryn Mawr college, which is right near me.
