Well, since you might not know, there is a reason why most of us are like "have one of the Marine team members be a Navy Corpsman". Marines dont have medics in their job description. Since there are two types of Navy Corpsman. Ones that serve in the blue-side navy and ones that are greenside navy that are assigned to Marine units. That train along side of Marines and wear the uniform of a Marine. For example, the Marine landing on Iwo Jima with the raising of the US Flag all were Marines, except one- Navy Corpsman. Since, the Marines dont have medics they use Navy Corpsmen as their medics. And now you know.... (and knowing is half the battle. GI JOE!)

so, i decided to do a roster of the Joes for my fan-fic, which lists the Joes' codenames, function, whether they're dead, active or retired, when they joined and their rank.
I've been promoting some of the older Joes and got to Flint, now we all know the 1985 card f***ed up and listed him as E5, so I checked the other filecards on Yo Joe for him from the ARAH era to see if they corrected it. TF Flint is listed as a WO3, Eco Warriors and Battle Corps Flint are both listed as WO2! I went with WO3... I was also annoyed to find i'd left Gung-Ho as a Gunnery Sergeant in my one fic where I mentioned his rank, and his Mega Marines figure has him as a Master Gunnery Sergeant. I cussed this and split the diff and put him as Master Sergeant... (NB, the verse I'm writing is set as a variant of the Marvel comicverse, using AF, the South American exclusives as 'Action Commandos' a joint Brazilian/Argentine/Chilean team expanded to include OCs from Colombia, Ecuador, Uruguay and Venezuela later, and also featuring new Cobras in Europe as counterparts to the US characters used in Battle Action Force and Marvel UK... stories largely take place in the early to mid '90s, writing around the comic stories or set after them) |

I think the Battle Corps Gung-Ho is listed as Sgt. Major.
Speaking of Rank, I'm wondering how you all rank your Named Cobras. I had pretty much resigned all of them as 0-4 or higher, but I'm curious about some of these guys. Big Boa, Shadow Tracker, Croc Master, and Night Adder.

Cool Breeze is an Marvel ARAH character. Hollow Point is from BTR. The Marines have their own EOD, but I use Static Line as a Navy EOD Tech. The Navy techs are the ones that usually get attached to SOCOM units.

I have that issue of the comics with Cool Breeze, but haven't read it in some time. I'll have to dig it out and refresh my memory when I get the chance. Is the card completely your info or were you able to find any details on him from the comics?

My Joe air force doesn't use Skystrikers. There's very little air to air combat, and most of it is in support of ground troops.
So my air force consists of Conquests, Skyhawks and Tiger Rats. They use mostly the Skyhawks for the ability to get in and out of pretty much anywhere. I'm working on my display, which will consist of 6 Skyhawks (the 25th version), 2 RoC Ghost H.A.W.K.s and if have the room will have a Conquest and Tiger Rat displayed alongside. My fighter squadron will be called the "Skystrikers". Flight 1: Wing Leader ('Striker 1): Ace Right Wing ('Striker 3): Dogfight (RoC Target pack Ace) Left Wing ('Striker 5): Tomahawk Flight 2: Wing Leader ('Striker 2): Slipstream Right Wing ('Striker 4): Freestyle Left Wing ('Striker 6): Treetop (25th Tiger Rat Wildbill) The RoC version of the Skyhawk, called just the Ghosthawk, is the "stealth" version, and there is 1 assigned to each Flight (too expensive to have more made). If get enough figures and vehicles, would make a 3rd or 4th flight as needed. My helicopter squadron is called the "Dragonhawks" and consists of (currently): Wild Bill Lift-Ticket Lighthorse (Retaliation Lift-Ticket) Squall (25th cartoon Wild Bill)

Oh and for those looking for new Joes to create...
On the G.I. Joe Discussion Facebook group (if on Facebook, you really should join, the group regularly shows pieces that won't ever see anywhere else as well as insight from past Hasbro designers), one of the members posted a list of product that would have been available for the Robot Rebellion line (that eventually became the DTC line) and in that list was a bunch of new names for figures that were never produced: Riverboat (this one actually came from an early script of the '86 G.I. Joe movie, was originally going to be in place of Law, and the dog was Wellington) Strongarm Download Rachet Flashpoint Long Haul Machete (think this would have been a new Dreadnok)
