Welcome back Oliverbox.
So today I found a lucky find, I picked up GI Joe Find Your Fate #8 "Operation Death Ray". In it you're "Break-In", your specialty is dismantling security systems, gaining access to heavily guarded areas and scuba diving. Assignment: security specialist. Loosely speaking it sounds like a Navy SEaL Technical Surveillance Operator & Rear Security.

72 is going to be the Lakota.
And last I heard its getting the ars designation. This would be a CH come MH ... Would be managed out of the cargo office with the 46, 47. You gotta think its a modified 47 drive train just to avoid all the qual bullshit that comes with a new platform. Then for code purposes all Army rotorcraft have a Native American tribal name.. you know of blackhalwk and apache, but the 58 is the Kiowa, the 72 is the lakota, the uh-1 was the iriquios. The Comanche was cancelled... I like making it an 86 after the original year but that skips a lot of unused alpha-nums... So make it a CH/XMH-49. And an unused tribal name like Mohawk, Cherokee, Choctaw, Creek, Chickesaw. My favorite designation so far is the MH-46XA, the CH-46X was a 1980's Replacement helicopter based on the Boeing Model 360, which has 4 blades on each rotor. Built in 1987, a year after the Tomahawk's release, tho it doesnt have the "sponsons". So, I would say the Tomahawk is a descendant of the the original CH-46 & the CH-46X combined. Boeing Vertol CH-46 Sea Knight - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Boeing Model 360 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia I'm planning to keep the Tomahawk THUG moniker, because the MH-6 Little Bird, isnt a tribal name, but is still a "native american" term and so is Tomahawk.

The more I look at the Tomahawk, I believe its a modified CH-46 Sea Knight. A medium search & rescue cargo helicopter, tricycle landing gear, short "sponsons" and tandem front & rear rotor. With modified engines, additional rotor blades plus a tail fan. Then, the guns, rockets and bombs would make it an MH designation. Tho since the helo is Lift-Ticket & Lifeline's Im almost prepared to make it an HH/MH-46X.

The overlord was really a Fred that decide to usurp control of Cobra when Destro defeated the commander in combat. I find it hard to believe Destro could defeat anyone in combat much less the commander at Battleship unless he cheated or the commander let him win.

Why do you think that about him?
Destro was pretty handy against some Red Ninjas, seems he has some quite impressive martial skills, both hand to hand, swords and firearms. |

Destro is a much better fighter then the Commander. Better tactician as well.

Is anyone reading IDW's America's Army ??
I just read issue 6 and I have to say, I'm quite enjoying it. It's not as realistic or as gritty as Image's The Activity but it's not bad for what it is. If anyone hasn't read it, the story follows a US led NATO intervention into an East European country plagued by a terrorist group called the Red Coin. Each issue (at least in the beginning) followed a different Point of View character as they went about their missions. The first was a Special Forces advisor, then a UAV pilot before focusing on missions conducted by a Company from the 82nd Airborne. |
