Oh yeah that's right. I coild of sworn they fell under JSOC but i don't see anything stating that fact so i must be mistaken. Do Navy EOD get airborne training? Although i imagine all Joes get Airborne trainkng. Larry said as much. Do you know Blackrazor who they typically get attached to?
I want to flesh out my idea of the retaliation trooper being Master Chief from HALO. I then have another trooper with the mohawk as Effects the guy from1994, also a Navy EOD. Together with TunnelRat and Tripwire and Lightfoot (Renegades TunnelRat with a Beachhead headswap) they make up a kinetic EOD/Demolitions team under Master Chief.

As far as Master Chief goes, wouldn't one of the 5" Halo figure actually be in scale with the 4" Joes? Not sure which head to use, but a blonde head with the Renegades Ripcord goggles could be used to make Mirage.

I use Depth Charge and Mariner as EOD Techs. The file card list him as UDT. Since UDTs were folded into the SEAL Teams why didn't they explicitly say that he's a SEAL.
Probably just lack of fact checking on Hasbro's part but they seem to "fit" better as EOD's than SEALs. |

I use a Resolute Arctic Duke kibash as a Mirage as part of the Battle Force 2000 team under Iron-Man.

In a lot of fan fiction, people write Psyche-Out as a psychiatrist, which is a separate degree(with it, one is licensed to prescribe meds), and it only says he got his Phd in Psychology. This bugs me.
But would it be realistic to think he also earned a degree in Psychiatry as well, but chooses not to prescribe meds unless absolutely necessary?

He'd be Airborne Qualified and as an officer probably a Ranger School Grad. Maybe even Special Forces qualified as many SF spend 'downtime' in the PSYOPS and Civil Affairs Units. Both of them work hand in hand with SF in terms of Counter Insurgency (COIN) and Foreign Military Capability Building That said, groups like Delta do have front line Psychiatrists and Operational Psychologists (as evidenced by a book by Dalton Fury, a former Troop Commander), so the fan fiction is not necessarily 'wrong' Last edited by Tyroc; 04-13-2013 at 03:09 AM.. |

The thing is that psychiatry really has nothing to do with PsyOps, which is really a misnomer. What Psy Ops really excels at is producing propaganda and false intelligence for the enemy "to influence their emotions, motives, objective reasoning, and ultimately, the behavior of foreign governments, organizations, groups, and individuals" through pamphlets, leaflets, TV and radio broadcasts, etc. I'd say that a background in public relations would prove more beneficial than one in psychology.
