And Wild Bill "fancies himself a country-western singer" according to his file card.

Ok, well now that the band member question has been answered; how about some of you military experts taking a stab at the badges, pins, patches questions!
What is the patch on Dial-Tone's beret suppose to represent? Does Lady Jaye's hat with pin indicate that she is airborne infantry? Also, don't Stalker and Flint have patches on their berets? I know there is a whole discussion on whether Stalker should even be wearing a green beret. If I remember correct his picture actually shows a camo beret (which I don't even think exist), so I don't think Hasbro was really paying attention military specialties with Stalker just, "hey let's have a black character wearing a beret." Kind of like how they didn't pay attention to Flint at first being a "Warrant Officer" with a NCO pay grade. Anyway, I'm curious as to whether or not the patches really represent anything real in the military, and it may be that they don't. Joe wiki states that the tatoo on Gung-Ho isn't actually the Marine logo because that logo is trademarked. Jason |

Wow I didn't even know that existed.
Blizzard and Dial Tone I'm not so sure about since I never noticed those patches. Convention Dial-Tone is supposedly Special Forces now as is Claymore and Beachhead. Lady Jaye is wearing the typical Jumpmaster Black Hat. Stalker should be Special Forces. His skills just point to SF. Language, Medic (And he's wearing a Green Beret which they don't just hand out.) Although he has all the training from Ranger School to Recondo School to becoming a LRRP then most likely rolled into the 75th Regiment at some point, but I think he would have most likely become a Green Beret afterwards officially.

Lady Jaye's hat is like an Airborne Instructor... the "black hats" we call "Sgt. Airborne". It's a weird choice for her. Of course Stalker is a character we've talked about since this thread began. There has never been any official confirmation from Hasbro or the Club or the Comic that Stalker is actually SF qualified, but you're totally right about his skill set - it just screams SF. I really wish the Club would offer an edition of Stalker and just give him his SF qualification. They're the only ones who seem to be able to produce decent filecards these days.

I agree about Stalker- He should be SF. Who/ When declared Beachhead SF? Edit: Dial Tone's beret flash looks kinda like JSOC's, only with the division of the shield reversed- Last edited by Topside; 02-21-2013 at 07:14 PM.. |

It was in the Tiger Force file card that Beach Head became SF.
