the masks seem quite similar. Latveria and Trans=Carpathia seem quite similar as well. This is why I have the Doom and Destro as cousins and the two nations as neighbors along with Darklonia and Borovia. However the McClullens managed to own a castle in Trans-Carpathia is how they managed to be related to Doom and Darklon.

Back in the heyday, Joe was the biggest toy brand around 1984-85ish? The Comic was the number 1 comic in circulation. The Cartoon was one of the best up against the likes of He-Man and Voltron and then Transformers a little later. And the toy was the number 1 sellling toy for boys. All of this tied together with these little scraps of paper/cardboard packaging. For me the Filecards always added to the playability of the figures. I played the hell out of them. Growing up in a military home I respected the military aspect of these characters. (ie rank and training) This captured my attention and added to the realism of my play. I loved how they added new characters, and even if they looked stupid once the NEON attraction wore off, there was still a real character underneath, representing a fictional but real soldier. So since they always had filecards when I still played with them, I want them to still have filecards now. The tie-ins are now obviously lacking, as a whole new generation is missing what I find to be the strongest aspect to Joe toys over other brands. 6,666? It's probably based on personal preference, but it's something we could probably hash out. Cobra Island + Broca Breach + Springfield + terrorist camps around the world = ? FARC is like 12,000 strong Cobra is Worldwide!

Parachuting or using a jet pack are quite specialised activities, or all all Cobra Troopers airborne qualified?
I could see there being different qualifications/badges one could obtain as a Cobra Trooper that would then help in moving into one of the more elite/more specialised branches. I'm trying to trim it down and keep it less confusing. Quote:
For me, Cobra's troopers are made up of ex-military, gang members, etc.. You advance by skill. So the guys in the Viper corps would be equal to Special Ops guys. The named Cobras are equal to, and maybe better in some cases, then the Joes. They talk about Tier One operators. The Joes would be Tier Two and so would the named Cobras. |

Ace is the best pilot for the Joes and Wild Weasel is the best pilot for Cobra.
So who's better? The first time they faced off ended in a tie. So what does that say? Isn't the Skystriker superior to a Rattler? I gotta go with WW. |

But I'd say that Wild Weasel is the better pilot. He has less morals holding him back and would be willing to cut some corners. I loved the Special Missions that had Ace and Slipstream going up against some Cobra pilots and it showed the interaction with the ground crews and how the Joe's crews took special care of them and the Cobra crews sabotaged their pilot. |

Back when some of the big G.I.Joe toys came out,the Rolling Thunder was driven by Armadillo and the Crossfire was driven by Rumber. In one of the issues during the comic series, the Rolling Thunder was being driven by Rumbler. I don`t think Armadillo ever made an appearance.
Now if the General was ever used in a mission,it would be the Joes rear base of operations. It would only be needed in case the mission went bad and the General was their last line of defense. Even though the Mobile Command Center driven by Steamroller might be a better choice. The General is almost like Metroplex or Fortress Maximus of the Autobots. It would be interesting if Omega Supreme could be remade into either the Rolling Thunder or the Thunderclap. |

I would probably crap my pants if they made Joe scale of either of those or Optimus Prime. But they can only get so big. I just bought one of those TRU Missle transport trucks and that thing is HUGE! Omega Supreme is a lot more similar in color to the MMC.
I still haven't picked up a SDCC Shockwave Hiss. Which is decent enough crossover. The Starscream Skystriker is just way too expensive. Oh and Armadillo did show up but they called him Rumbler.
