Need a little help...
Doing some research on the Joe Artillery. As best I can figure, the Slugger should be able to shoot an 8-inch, 143 lbs. shell, with a maximum effective range of 32,800 Meters... or about 20 miles. Does anyone have the Special Missions issue with the Thunderclap in Sierra Gordo? Does it give a maximum effective range, or any other info on the cannon?

According to the blueprints on YoJoe.com, the Slugger's howitzer fires a 175mm shell. Couldn't find any significant blueprint info on the Thunderclap, and I don't know where that particular issue is right now.

It's nice to have some idea about what the Joe battle space might look like... where would they need to deploy their artillery elements, etc. So if the Slugger - like the real 175mm cannon - has a range of 20 miles, I just wonder how far the Thunderclap can shoot. I think that issue makes mention of it.

OK, so I checked Yojoe again, and in the summary of #92, it talks about the Thunderclap's cannon having a range of 15km, which I believe is about 24 miles. It doesn't mention the size of the gun, though.

15 km ~= 9.3 miles I'm afraid. |

Oops, sorry about that, LOL. Math's not my strong suit. That's a fair distance, but not as far as the Slugger, it sounds like.
