Gung-Ho is a Marine: so he's an 0321: Recon Man. He's Marine Force Recon, and may be Ranger qualified, but the LRRP units in Vietnam were Army. Marine Force Recon had their own Recon School.

Level 3.
Although, Falcon's never been mentioned as having gone to Ranger School, just says he's a Green Beret. We can assume he went to Ranger School.

I also can't figure out why Wild Bill's specialized training is classified. Are there any real life people in the military with classified training?

I guess I just don't see the LRRP's as a "regular 'ol unit". They were really awesome. They were all Airborne Rangers, and incredibly proficient, battle hardened vets, who had probably been sent to a lot of other schools like Air Assault, Pathfinder, HALO, Sniper School, Tunnel Rat, etc. With the Exception of Special Forces, the LRRPs were the toughest unit in Vietnam - even over the SEALs in 'Nam.
If Stalker had gone through Special Forces school, they would have surely made mention of it in the file card or the comic, but there's no mention of it anywhere. He and Snake-Eyes were elite because they were Ranger/LRRPs. Now don't misunderstand me, I would love it if Hasbro announced Stalker was a Green Beret just like they did with Beach-Head. I wish they would remake his Tundra uniform, or his Battle Corps uniform as a 25th figure and mention that he's been through Special Forces School. There are few character adjustments that would make me happier. But there is no evidence for that. Even Roadblock has mitigating evidence in the comics. Even with Roadblock there is circumstantial evidence that he likely served in a Special Forces Team with Duke and Flint. If there were even that much for Stalker, I would say "Go for it". But there's just a total lack of evidence. |

And in the Ranger-Ladder, he's only 2nd tier.

Oh, I could have sworn that I read something about LRRPs and it was mentioned that there were some marines involved with the training. Do you know anything about this?

They can classify a soldier's file, so that all their training records are sealed. They do that with Intelligence Operatives, and Delta/ISA soldiers. It basically just takes their names out of normal circulation so people can't access their files and figure out who they are/what unit they're in.

There are a lot pilots do have a few. Some have folders that aren't allowed out the commands safe. Be be happy the ones with the Classified training are very important people and happy they are out there.
