Since I have 118 "Joes" on my "SpecMiFor". Lately, I put a hold on recruitment of more troops to focus on my Joe Team as a Mechanized Infantry unit.
-My 3 A-Teams will each be assigned (2) 4-seater "Vamp 3500" and (1) 2-seater "Vamp 1500" to fit an A-Team of 12 troops. -First Platoon, 14 troops, 4 Awe Strikers (Marines, Seals, Marauders) and Capt America's Strikefire (Renegades). -Second Platoon, 42 troops, 5 Humvees and 4 Wal Mart Generic "Vamps 4500". This week I got the R.O.C.C. to complement my RHINO and Jackhammer for the MAS-X (Mobile Armored Strike-eXperimental) Team.

Although if the VAMP 3500 is the POC VAMP MK2 then there are really spots for 5 with the gunner. If the VAMP 4500 is the vehicle in the review and image below I agree it's pretty sweet. Product Reviews So first platoon is all those in a 14 man team under Capt America? I would be interested to see the layout of you entire SpecMiForce. Do you have a 21 man HQ team under HAWK?

Vehicle Assignment: -True Heroes Police Van: Hazmat -Desert Striker (Joe 2001): Converting into a Fire Brush Rig -World Peace Keeper "Covered" Humvee Transport: Medical -World Peace Keeper "Railed" Humvee Transport: Hazmat Containment

I've been reading a new book about the Ranger Regiment: "Sua Sponte" by Dick Couch.
It's an excellent read on the Regiment and the Selection and Training Program. I've also learned a bit about the Regiment's Recon Company - those guys are amazing. Anyone interested in discussing this?

Interesting. I would love to hear more about the Jackhammer. (From MASK right?) What are you using for the Jackhammer? Although a Cobra Steel Crusher would be a great replacement.

I would be interested to see the layout of you entire SpecMiForce. Do you have a 21 man HQ team under HAWK? Yes, I use 5 spots for the "VAMP 3500", (the POC & 30th & Retaliation Vamp Mk II), The 4 seats and the "gun placement". I even taken out the missile launcher on the Ninja Combat Cruiser to use as a placement for a 5th trooper as a gunner. Yes, the Rig in the picture is what I call the VAMP 4500. Actually, I just use the Strikefire vehicle, bought it for 10 bucks on sale. I wanted an armored amphibious vehicle and the Strikefire works for Sgt Slaughter's vehicle. 1st Platoon is under the Command of LT Torpedo & Sgt Slaughter. I guess actually with only 14 men its almost like the Platoon Leader and a Squad. I guess I need to change the layout again. Moving 2nd Platoon to 1st Platoon, maybe I can call the Marines, SEALS, Marauders & Renegades a "Marine Amphib Squad-Detachment 1" with a Platoon Leader. So it will take me some more time for an overall layout. Ummm no, I dont have an actual Headquarters team. Not enough support troops to have one. Im trying to keep it mostly to Special Mission Force oriented Joe's instead of support Joe's as I can. Also trying not to use cross-overs as much as I can. MAS-X/MASK is the only true cross-over that I use, but most of those are Joe's instead of MASK characters on the team. My Command "Tower" is Major Hawk, Captain Duke, WO Flint, SMAJ Beachhead with HQ Communications Sparks. The only tier thats higher than that is Secretary of Defense Henry Jones (name & appearance only), Colonel "Joe" Colton and SFC Friday (Zarana in military uniform).

Looks interesting, will have to buy a copy and read it before I can discuss though
Looking at the Amazon preview I see he's written some other books that look interesting (and seem to have decent reviews), any personal recommendations? |

Oh the strikefire. I wish it looked like this one
http://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-jo...efire-apc.html I came up with 21 since I only counted 92 but then you haven't broken down the MAS-X TEAM. I have team somewhat like this but the lines get blurry. Oliver I would love te here more about the Rangers. I don't own the book but I might if you recommend it enough.

His books on Special Operations units are all very good, and he's very respectful when talking about Army units. His first love is the SEAL Teams, obviously, but he's great. He understands what he's writing about. This book, "Sua Sponte" is really good if you like books that do an indepth job of talking about training. So if you liked, "Inside Delta Force", for example, you'll like this book. It's thorough. The ONLY complaint I have is that Couch will NOT talk about anything related to JSOC/Tier 1 units. He's so decscriptive that I wish he would - he could explain it really, really well. I have a newer respect for the Ranger Regiment. I've always held them in very high regard, but this book does an excellent job of explaining why they're special, what they do, and what makes them so great. It also helps to understand what's unique about the Ranger Regiment, and why it's not just JV Special Forces, or JV Delta Force.

Basically, other than reading about the training and day-to-day activities of the Regiment, the book briefly touched on the Regimental Recon Company...
And then I looked them up on wikipedia: Regimental Reconnaissance Company - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Pretty interesting. It's basically a Tier 1 (Delta/DevGru equivalent) unit that focuses directly on Special Recon and small unit Direct Action. It's about five 6-man teams of operators. Pretty interesting. They're supposedly the newest members of JSOC. I'll be interested in hearing what y'all think.

I have team somewhat like this but the lines get blurry. OK, Ive been adding Joe's left and right and I dont believe it. Now, without realizing it, I have 134 in my Special Mission Force. The setup goes like this. -5 Command "Tower" -5 Air Mobility (Rotary Wing & C-130 pilots) -5 SWCC "The Ensign Cutter" -11 MAS-X (Mobile Armored Strike eXperimental) would like to make it 12 -12 A-01 Team "Tiger Force" Standard -12 A-02 Team "Sky Patrol" Airborne/Air Assault -12 A-03 Team "Steel Brigade" Urban Operations -42 1st Platoon 1st Squad "MASS Recon", 2nd Squad "Ghost Squad", 3rd Squad "Night Force", Weapons Squad "Screamin Eagles" -14 MAD Squad (Marine Amphib Detachment) -9 PASS (Public Assessment Safety Squad) -6 Color Guard, 6 Star Wars figures as Color Guard -1 Snake Eyes Not included the 3 at DC Command: Secretary Jones, Col Colton and SFC Friday. Soon I will make the layout for SpecMiFor, but it seems like daily I change it around. Here in the picture attachment is the Color Guard for my Joe Team.
