Not being in the military I cant gauge how good those scores are. But we can assume from branch of service or unit there are certain criteria they need to pass. Like the sustained 8 minute mile fullgear.

Yo.
I've tried to work Indy Jones into my Joeverse, had him at one point, but not any longer. I've been thinking of ways to utilize Joe to catch onto the card gaming craze. I'd be up for working up a project like this. |

I was just thinking about adding him but I haven;t thought it through yet. How did he fit and where in the rank structure or just some sort of contractor?
Anyone else usiing Jones?

He'd probably do alot of solo work as well, where he'd report directly to Hawk and not have anyone under him. |

My original premise had Jones as part of Colton's "adventure team". Which I still might be able to work into it that way.
Right now I'm distracted by the awesomeness that is the new Hobbit figures. |

I use Jones.
In my Joeverse he was Colton's mentor, but drinking from the Holy Grail makes him age slowly... like Nick Fury, I guess. He's a Colonel (O-6), U.S. Army Intelligence/Special Forces - from his time with the O.S.S.

So, I figure the Joes would need a specialized PT test that every Joe has to pass. But you're right, Loose, a timed ruck march should be a part of the test. In the Army, 12 miles in 3 hours with a 30 lbs. pack is the standard at Air Assault School. In the Royal Marines, it's a nine mile (14.5 km) speed march, carrying full fighting order (32 lbs.), to be completed in 90 minutes; the pace is thus 10 minutes per mile (9.6 km/h or 6 mph). Plus, they do a 30-mile (48-km) march across upland Dartmoor, wearing full fighting order, and additional safety equipment carried by the recruit in a daysack. It must be completed in eight hours for recruits and seven hours for Royal Marine officers, who must also navigate the route themselves, rather than following a DS (a trained Royal Marine) with the rest of a syndicate and carry their own equipment. (Wikipedia) ... what would work for the Joes? Honestly, those Royal Marines almost seem Super Human. An eight minute mile in full gear (with pack) is almost impossible for anyone, especially for an extended period of time. 9 minute miles, with gear, would be the stuff of legend.

That's a good question. I would guess there would be a series of endurance test they would have to pass. But what about the pilots? I would figure even the tech types would have to be physically outstanding. The pilots too but maybe not full gear? Although I really might stand to reason the pilots would be more like Hollow-Point and Barrel-Roll sniper/pilots. I think sigma 6 Lt Stone and Wild -Bill are infantrymen turned pilots as is Flint! I think Ace saw more time on the ground than in the air during the cartoons.
