Damnable I was just thinking of how to add him to mine. Currently I had him disappear in the late 50's only to emerge from the South American jungles at present dsy with stories of flying ships men wearing white armor, and sticks that shoot fire. Also a colonel in my joeverse.
What happened to adventure team in 1976? Last edited by thegame68; 09-06-2012 at 06:34 PM.. Reason: Reworking filecard, so I deleted the old info. |

I'd like to add Adventure Team, but I'm a bit scared of the cost. I want to add all of the Joes I'm missing first. Did you guys see the thread on the Apollo Joes? I'd buy those as well if they made them.

I know no one really cares about ninja force but I try to include them in some way. Generally as non ninja bodyguards, but for what they were, I did like them well the first three. Nunchuck was trained by the blind master just like Jinx. Dojo was trained by a mysterious ninja master in seclusion as was Banzai. Could it be the same master? Bushido is just all around lame.

I'm doing a file card for Indiana Jones. Here is my first crack at it. I think I'm going to go back and add in his service in WWI. I stuck in the Adventure Team stuff for him in the 70's and that's why I used the AT logo. I figured that's the last team he was officially on before retiring. I think he'd just be an adviser and not technically part of GI Joe. Any of you guys hardcore Indy fans that can add to or correct anything? Also, any opinions on if the AT logo works for Indy or if I should go with a GI Joe logo?
I have also considered the notion that after KOTCS, which took place in 1957, Indy may have been recruited to help train and mentor a young Special Forces Lt. named Joe Colton. Indy was born in 1899, but the case you make for his long life based on the fact that he drank for the Holy Grail makes sense... at least as plausible as Nick Fury or Steve Rogers. I really liked the idea of Indy working with Steve Rogers in the OSS. Well done. It makes complete sense. After all, the original Indy comics were all published by Marvel, coincidentally at the same time as G.I. Joe was starting. One thing you may reconsider is his MOS. As an OSS operative, it would make a lot of sense for Indiana Jones to be considered as a Special Forces Officer or more likely as a CIA Case Officer/Operative. The OSS, after WWII, split into two groups: US Army Special Forces, and the C.I.A. Most of the commandos in the OSS who did the grunt work and raids stayed in the Army and became the Green Berets. The Ivy League types from the OSS all went to Langley to start "The Company". Indiana Jones could go either way. He's got all the credentials to have gone to the CIA, but he may have preferred the action of Special Forces. My own feeling is that he would have preferred the lack of structure and authority - not to mention the autonomy - of the C.I.A. That's just my opinion.

Brilliant. I'm a huge Indy fan. I own every comic book and every novel (except for the Young Indiana Jones novels). Excellent work on this. A few typographical errors: when you use "they're", I think you mean "their" and you make need a hyphen for "semi-retirement". Overall, however, I really like this.

As far as the logo goes, I'm thinking of just using the generic GI Joe logo now. Chuckles filecard seems to indicate that he works for GI Joe, but is still part of the CIA. I think I'm going to have Indy work the same way. |

Need to work on incorporating Indy. At any rate all the talk about Ninjas, I decided to through my line-up out there. See if you can guess who is who just for fun. Some are rename, some are customs. One hint I'm using Storm Shadow V2 as T'gin Zu.

My guess would be the Love Ninjas are Budo & Jinx, then from left to right: T'gin-Zu, Dojo, Nunchuk, T'Jbang, Snake-Eyes, the next two Customs?, Black Dragon from Extreme, Tiger CLaw & Kamakura.
How did I do? |

Wow pretty good. To Snake Eyes left Ashiko, Komodo (black dragon from Extreme. I stole the same idea from you or was it Zuludelta? I'm using marvel hawkeye there.), Banzai (temple Snake eyes), Bushido (retaliation Kamakura since he's blue), then Kamakura. But you reminded me I have a spot on Tiger Claw custom not pictured.
