There aren't any tanks. Very light on equipment: blackhawks, LAVs, FAVs and that's it.
Think Delta Force but self-sufficient.

Well whatever you write I'm sure it will be good. Will there be a military structure with ranks?

Yeah. Think of it as more of a Paramilitary Unit.
Can even find the way it works in my J.O.E.verse. In there, the Omega Corporation (run by one of Colton's old Adventure Team teammates) is a multi-million dollar business that basically bankrolls the Joeteam. The Omega Corporation develops stuff that the Joes can use and/or sells patents created by Brainstorm. Since that's my concept, I'm using it for Shadow War (working title). The Direct Applied Technologies company is run by Jefferson Michaels (codenamed Gamma), an old friend of Gen. Codys (Alpha). Together they set it up to bankroll the Direct Action Group (D.A.T. would own the shipyard they operate out of for example). D.A.T. is a tech company, specializing in robotics and wireless stuff. So the Dagger teams use DAT tech and Clockspring (my version of Brainstorm) invents things through the course of DAG operations that DAT can turn around and sell.

You think you'll have the two universes working together?

The J.O.E. stuff is overwritten by the DAG.
Trying to fit my concept into Joe mythos was cool but straining. I think I'd rather be able to take things anywhere I want and not be tied down to fitting into "Joe".

Well when your story gets big enough you don't want to be stuck having to pay hasbro for rights to use their title.

Going with Taskforce Zero. Should have the first couple chapters up this weekend. Got done editing some of the old stuff last night. The nice thing about this is I can make custom figs of the Dagger Teams.

Very cool ideas at work here, Troy. I had done something similar back in my comic self publishing days. Intent on working as a comic writer full time, I wrote a pitch for a GI Joe relaunch and included an outline that essentially covered the first four years of stories.
When I came to the realization I will probably never write an official Joe comic I transformed the idea into something similar but very different, and in many ways I think its even better.
